That's the book where everything changes. After that, it's like a whole 'nother series.

I am almost done re-reading Inferno, by Jerry Pournelle and Larry Niven. Even though they are sci-fi writers, I class this as fantasy. It is a rewrite of the book of the same name by Dante, only the main character is a modern science fiction writer being guided through Hell by Benito Mousollini. I think it was the first book I read by Niven and Pournelle, and it got me hooked. Some of the modern versions of the classic sins really get you thinking...

A book called Enders Game, I would say it's fantasy.

A book called Enders Game, I would say it's fantasy. Just read it myself a few months ago after taking some peoples advice here. Excellent book in my opinion, I really liked it. It has a great ending to it as well. What part of the book are you on? They are also planning to make it into a movie.

I thought it was Knife of Dreams? It is... I have no idea why I called it Knife in the Dark lmao!!
Finished it now. Such an awesome awesome book. I have nothing else to read though and have to wait another couple of years before book 12 >.<

Well I've been having to read required reading for school. No real time to be reading the Wheel of Time series. I'm only on book four, though I own them all up to ten (I need to get the paperback for Knife of Dreams). One more book to go, and the series will be over with at 12.

Assuming he is kind enough to finish it at book 12... has Robert Jordan actually said for certain if 12 will be the last in any interviews?

He keeps saying it over and over again. He said if he has to make the 12th book 2000 pages long, he'll do it. But of course, Jordan also said that he'd finish it after three books...then six...so we have to cross our fingers. He's getting rather old. It'll do no good if he can't finish the series.

He's getting rather old. It'll do no good if he can't finish the series. It definitely sucks when that happens. It's bad enough when a good author passes away, but to be left hanging makes it worse. That happened to me with Robert Adams and the Stairway to Forever series...and that was back before you could look up stuff like that on the internet. I waited two years before I found out he'd died. On topic...and speaking of Robert Adams, I am currently re-reading the Clan of the Cats, the last book in the Horseclans series.

That's why it's probably a good idea to not start a series until it's finished.

That's why it's probably a good idea to not start a series until it's finished. I can't help it. When I find an author that I like, I seek out everything they have written. Eventually, I am forced to take up a series that is in progress.
