Ok, I don't know all the names from the movies But I'd live with those tree creatures ... now they were kool !! They were the Ents. They were the shepherds of the forest.

I thought that the awakening of the Ents could have been better. In the book, they were describes as being filled with wrath and anger, and Merry and Pippin were amazed. They said that they had never seen so much destruction and anger from any other creature than the Ents. To me, the Ents simply razed Isengard (except Orthanc) to the ground and then got bored. In truth, they went on a rampage destroying everything they could get thier branches on. They even tried to bring down Orthanc, but that was impossible. That tower was construction when Gondor was at its most powerful, and the the tower was built to watch the northern border of Gondor, many many years before Saruman received the Keys to it.

I wish Tolkien would have elaborated more about what heppened to Orthanc. He said that Gondor regained control of it after the War of the Ring, but it didn't sy what they used it for, IIRC.

HAS to be Imladris for me. Why?
1. Decent weather (I've never heard of it snowing there) 2. Paradise - next to the Undying Lands 3. Elves
Basically...
Ok so I haven't read the books for a better description of the place, sue me. I await to be served papers.

Well, if you want to live near the Undying Lands, then go to the Shire. Rivendell is relatively far away from the Western Shore (which is the shore closest to Valinor) of Middle-Earth.

I still stand by my first choice..Rohan with the horse culture. I could go anywhere on my mighty steed!!!! and throw down on the bad guys with my 'gladius' looking sword..lol. I would chose calvery over infantry any day

I would live in Mirkwood with someone *cough*Legolas*cough* and pay some visits to Lothlorien. If I could choose anywhere I would choose Valinor or the Undying Lands, definatly.
