Hmm, didn't he have to save Major Kira Nyrese? You're not watching them out of order are you? Unlike the other Trek series, after season 2 there is basically one continuous storyline revolving around the war, and before then it introduces those they go to war with very slowly.

I watched Star Trek TNG because it was Star Trek, but what I missed was the fact that not much exploring was done, no new worlds and civilisations were discovered perhaps in one or two episodes. There were hardly any space battles. It was like going in a row boat to nowhere. Someone should make up their mind is Star Trek about exploration and space battles or is it about interaction between the different characters on the ship a sort of interstellar soap opera. An android who wants to become human, Riker's affair with Troi, Picard's relations with the doctor. I liked Enterprise at least there was some action in it. In the original series the captain was having affairs with alien women (looking like Baywatch babes) on every planet - that's what made TOS great in comparison to all the Star Trek sries which followed. TOS also had several space battles and a great deal of science fiction stuff. Whosoever changed the pattern of the original Star Trek made a mess of it. If the same format had been kept, propably it would have some kind rating on it. In the time I watched it there was no rating system. Scotty drank like a fishand was almost always drunk.
