This is my fav trilogy. It's gotta be the best one ever too. The first one is my fav. Biff is a great character. My favorite bit is in the second one when BIff (the old version) is talking with the young version of himself, and he goes:
(the young one) "Now, make like a tree, and get out"
(the old one) "You idiot! It's make like a tree, and LEAVE!"

I liked it as well, but there were a few things that confused me.
When they were in 2015, Doc said the shock of seeing her futrure self could cause a temporal paradox, yet when Biff saw himself(even though he didnt know who it was) in the past, nothing even happened. I know its just a movie and could probably be explained, but still..
I do think that what happened in the first could happen. I liked how when Marty first went to 1955 he ran over a pine tree, thus changing the name of the mall at the beginning from twin pines mall to lone pine mall at the end(something not many caught the first time).
It was a good trilogy, but I didnt like the second one as it seems they never thought it out as well as the third. Also it hurt to film both at once like that(and after several lawsuits, the actors did get a double payday for doing so as well)

I still think the first was the best, but I must admit, I did like seeing the alternate 1985 where Biff was the millionaire.
AS for a temporal paradox by seeing ones future self, I just think that was something that wasnt thought out to well, and awas just thrown in to give the characters something to do, like try to stay away from each other.

see thats the inconsistancy factor popping up again Myke.
In the future, Doc said it could be bad if young Jennifer saw old Jennifer, yet old Biff went back and carried on a convo with young biff, why no paradox?

Like I said, I think it's something they didnt think through to well, as I cant come up with no other explination. I don't see how tow being seing each other like that would cause a temporal paradox anyways.

Thats why I did not like part 2.
Of the 3 movies, that was the only one that had the most inconsistancies.
Rumor has it that they were going to make a part 4, but Michael J Fox nixed it when he got a starring role on Spin City

I would have liked to have seen a part 4. I remember loving them as a child, my grandmother took me to see each one in the theatres. I also remember when part II was out, Pizza Hut was selling futursitic sunglasses from part II. LOL I had the complete set. It always seemed like it nver ended right, w/ Doc Brown takin off to some other point in time in his time train. Didn't it used to say a new movie was comming at the beginning of the end credits like the James Bond movies, and then finally saif "The End" at the end of part 3?

No
Part one ended with the Delorean lifting off and Doc saying " where we're going, we don't need roads" and then a "TO BE CONTINUED" came across the screen
Part two ended with Marty running back into 1955's city(I forget the name) and Doc seeing Marty and fainting, with a "TO BE CONCLUDED" coming onto the screen. Also it had a Western Union commercial filmed at the same time as well.
Part three ended with Doc and his family lifting off going back to 1885(presumably) because Marty asked him if he is going back to the future, and Doc said no, I've already been there, and then the train lifts off and "THE END" came onto the screen and the train turned around and flew right toward the audiance and the credits rolled
The one scene that I wish was filmed(it was cut in pre-filming) was the scene after the train left, Marty and Jennifer went back to Marty's house and his dad presented him with a gift, which was the gun Marty had given to Shamus back in 1885

My friends, you have just stumbled upon my favorite movie trilogy (and my favorite DeLorean commercial LOL!) of all time.
I can offer some theories as to why Doc thought it was a bad idea for Jennifer to run into her "other self" and why Biff's meeting with Biff had no effect.
If you've seen the Jean-Claude Van Damme movie, "TimeCop" you are aware of the theory that the same matter cannot occupy the same space at the same time. It kinda throws the laws of physics out the window and screws up the space-time continuum. I believe this may have been a major factor in Doc Brown's warnings. If you'll notice, Neither Old nor Young Jennifer ever touch. Neither do Old nor Young Biff.
The shock of Jennifer seeing herself as an older woman and vice versa was enough to make them both pass out. I believe that this was due to the fact that Jennifer was intelligent enough to realize what was going on, and who her younger/older self was.
As for Biff......well, as a young man, he was just too stupid to realize anything so there were no repercussions. What a butthead.
Hope that helped!

Didnt Old Biff and young Biff touch each other when they were picking up the car from the manure incident in the first movie?
if not, thats a good theory of yours though.

you can call me DS9 or V-Ger or just mike if you want I dont care Also I think in TimeCop they also mentioned that neither could occupy the same space, but didn't that also mean that one Van Damme couldn't hand the other Van Damme anything either, so when the Old Biff went to hand the magazine to the young Biff, young biff may not have been able to grab it either since that magazine would be occupying the same space as both of them. I have to say that its confusing as hell trying to figure out sci-fi stuff. Does this make us official nerds?

I prefer the term "geek" thank you very much! LOL!
Anyways, I just watched the scene in BTTF2 and right after Young Biff says to Old Biff, "Make like a tree and leave," Old Biff uses his hand to smack Young Biff on the back of the head.
My theory is shot to hell......
Perhaps Doc was just overreacting, or trying to scare Marty into not finding out too much about his future when they were in 2015.

Yeah, I kinda thought the two Biffs touched each other, but didnt remember for sure untill you just told me Speed. I like the "Doc was just overreacting, or trying to scare Marty into not finding out too much about his future when they were in 2015." thoery myself. And yes I would have loved to have seen that scene with Shamus's gun
