Yes, it's a sequel to 28 Days Later.

If 28 Weeks later is anything like the first movie, it was be pretty darn good and I'll enjoy it. However, something has be a bit worried: " and this time, it is more dangerous than everI just hope they don't go the way of Resident Evil 2, and make things totally over the top and make it extremely difficult to suspend disbelief. Either way, I'll be seeing this the first week it's out more then likely.

The trailer looks quite good. It seems they spent a bit more on this film than the last one. The original film's budget was very low and although it was a good film you could tell it was made cheaply. Not long to wait.

Yeah, it does look quite well made... and I like that the main characters are different people.

Yes but having money thrown at a movie doesn't guarantee it being a good one, I will wait and hold my judgment .

I haven't seen it yet... but I've been hearing mixed reviews about it. Like how it's not like the original and the creators wanted to go bigger and better and focused too much on "blockbuster" material and forgot about the other reasons the first one was so popular.
But I'll have to see for myself.

I'll have to see it for myself as well. What those people are describing isn't necessarily a bad thing. Alien was much like 28 Days Later, original, almost low budget, but not quite. For it's sequel, Aliens, it was easy to tell the budget was much larger with 'blockbuster' material, it was nothing like Alien, yet it expanded on the original movie and many, many people claim the sequel Aliens was better than the original Alien. Therefore even if those 'accusations' are true about 28 Weeks Later, it doesn't automatically mean it's going to be bad film, it could be better than the original.... then again maybe not. I'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, indeed.
I still need to rewatch the original first.

Well I watched 28 days later the day before I saw 28 weeks later...and well...the original was kind of strange and stupid...yet strangely fascinating. While the newest one is visually pleasing, keeps you on your toes, and has more blood and gore than I can remember seeing in a movie...ever The music alone sold me on the movie, though

I thought the music was great in both the first and second one. However, in my opinion 28 Weeks Later started out okay and then all of the sudden sort of started falling apart early in the movie.

Although I couldn't finish the first movie at my friend's house I did watch the second one. It's not one of my favorite movies (I'm not really a horror fan) but it is definitely creative and has cool sequences of action.

To say the least, the whole "28 .." is really creative and artsy. I sort of see it as art, so it's interesting to see it on a big screen in theaters .. not so much for a rental, though.

28 days later rocks. 28 weeks later FREAKIN' rocks. I.e., it's totally awesome. The best part is when Rob Carlyle's character is infected and everyone is in the underground, and he appears at the door to his son and breaks it down... freaky freaky freaky! Highly recommended.
