Window of Opportunity is the 6th eppisode in series 4. It is the one where time keeps repeting and O'Neil and Teal'c are the only one's that know time is repeting.

That's the one. I liked O'Neil and Teal'c are playing golf and hiting the golf balls into the stargate. Also where Teal'c gets hit in the face with a door every time it loops and one of the times he closes the door on the person who opens it and this big grin apears on him face.

From the list I'd say a Goa'uld Zat cuz you have the option of either stunning someone unconscious for an hour (1 shot) or killing them (2 shots) whereas the other weapons are pretty much all lethal.
For instance if you need to take someone alive to interrogate (or if someone really annoying just won't shut up), use 1 shot. To kill off enemies in battle, shoot all of them to take them down, then you can shoot them a second time to kill them.
The Zat is also very small and can be concealed.
To pick something not from the list, I would say the proton cannon that Iron Man and War Machine both use as well as my own plasma beam cannon. I just have this love for energy based beam weapons for their destructive power.

Don't forget, the zat'nik'atel can also disintegrate, with a third shot. Or like O'Neill says, "Third shot, you're dust." You bring up a good point though: no need to adjust settings in a shoot-out, just shoot once, twice, thrice for whatever you want to happen. I believe if the right armor is worn, like they show Siler testing in one ep, the zat's first shot will just kinda stun ya and numb ya, but you remain conscious, although I think the nerves are tingling and the muscles are twitching big-time.

I say force lance. they are a blaster, nade and much more. vary useful they are. but the light saber is a close secound or a tie in my opinion. Just what be cool is if you could charge the lance so the light saber couldnt cut it into pieces it be sweet

Gotta be a distance weapon--lightsabers and the like are subject to the same problem as bows and arrows--just shoot them from 100 feet away!

If you really want to know the truth, my favorite weapons of science fiction for all time are: 1. Unicron, of the TRANSFORMERS . Yeah, he may have been a monster planet that made him a danger to the Universe and everything, but then again, on the other hand, what if we had REPROGRAMMED him to serve us, hhhhmmmm? After all, even though is was SO big, he was still a robot that can be reprogrammed just like any other machine (at least the cartoon said that he was a machine). Can you imagine all of the possibilities? For one thing, we would not even have to worry about any of those killer comets, asteroids, meteors, meteroids and meteorites; all we have to do is send him out there to any of these oncoming celestial rocks and EAT them up, since he so good at eating planets, right? So even though many say that the Universe is better off without him, I would say we can send him to destroy/consume all of those dangerous, runaway "shooting stars". Besides, terminators here on Earth are dangerous androids, until they are REPROGRAMMED to protect humanity, right? 2. The Death Star, on STAR WARS, Episodes 4 and 6. I think EVERYONE here in this forum knows what I am talking about when I mention this weapon. It is especially its PRIMARY planet-destroying weapon, that I am referring to (the one that destroyed Alderaan, Princess Leia's home planet). The Imperials mainly designed it to be a weapon of fear and intimidation, though. 3. Lightsabers. If you are a science fiction knight, then this weapon is for YOU. Without question, the STAR WARS movies have the best usages for light sabers. I especially like the way the light sabers were able to cut through steel and doors (like in STAR WARS Episode One). These are my favorite weapons as far as science fiction are concerned.

I may be old-fashioned, but give me a good blaster at my side. Works for both long distance and close up, and you don't have to be a Jedi to use one!
