I am eight letters long - "12345678" My 1234 is an atmospheric condition. My 34567 supports a plant. My 4567 is to appropriate. My 45 is a friendly thank-you. My 678 is a name.
Question: What word am I?

That would take me 3 years to figure out. It's a matter of deductive logic, using the alphabet in different letter sequences. I imagine there are 1 million different ways to sequence the letters, I'd be better off writing a program to figure this out for me.
I'll think some more on it though and give it a shot. I think it would be easiest to start with the last, 678, and work my way up.

No Myke, it´s rather simple. You have to figure out what "an atmospheric condition" is (it has four letters), what "supports a plant (it has 5 letters) and so on. And when you have gotten all the answers, it spells the word for nos. 1-8.

Look, all you have to do is answer each question and it gives you the amount of letters each answer has. Now... what is an atmospheric conditon, for example? Mist, perhaps?
