Did you guys ever see Band of Brothers? It's basically like a 10 hour movie following the 101st airborne regiment Easy Company from parachuting into occupied German territory just before D-Day, and follows them until the end of the war when they take Hitler's Eagle's Nest. It's amazing, I borrowed the DVD set this past winter and watched it for the first time, all 10 hours in one day. I loved it. It was a different point of view for me on the D-day invasion, in that I was able to see the airborne assault and not just the landing. Exactly, I liked that point of view as well. In fact, that is the first and only time I've seen that portayal of the D-Day invasion. I really like Band of Brothers more then ANY WWII movie.

You've never seen Saving Private Ryan? It is also an excellent invasion movie, just of the landings on the beach.

The opening D-Day sequence simply amazed me when I first saw it. Spielberg is a genius. Since Band of Brothers isn't really a movie, but more of a long mini series, I consider it my all time favorite, while Saving Private Ryan my favorite war movie.

^ I have heard the reviews for it, but unfortunately I have that I-must-see-it-for-myself-to-get-an-accurate-view syndrome.

So at my school, we have a Physics Club. At this Physics Club, we watch bad science fiction movies for the sole purpose of making fun of the lack of physics and the movie in general. It's a blast. Anyways, we watched Red Planet this time, and the film was a piece of turd, of course. But it wasn't as silly as Doom or something like that, so it wasn't that funny to mock. Just an all around bad film.

Yeah, we're pretty much keeping it underground so the powers that be don't know what they're paying him for. ;D

*Looks at thread topic* The last move I watched? I think it was my neighbours moving from North Wales to Australia. ;D Actually, the last movie I watched was Star Trek VI.
