Not sure what console you have Mrs Nesbit, but you may want to check out ICO. That is simply the best puzzle/epic game out there. After being capture for being a boy with horns, and sentenced to death, you escape, and rescue a younf girl who is alos a prisnoer, and the object of the game is to escape the castle with the youn girl, Yorda. It is a fighting game persay, they is very little actual fighting, the main focus of the game is the castle, and trying to escape that castle which is an elaborta maze. The game is japanese, and even some of hte language and sub titles are still Japanese, but it is simply awesome. Val you may remember me talking about this game last spring. Click the link I provided for a review. I agree 100 percent with that review, that author captrues the spirit of the game perfectly with his words.

I'm into arcade stuff. However I picked other because of games like Ikaruga and Galaga (which are considered shooters, not 1st or 3rd person).

Arcade Games, gotta love em. Heres my order tho 1. Arcade 2. RPG 3. Platform 4. 1st Person Shooter I used to spend alot of time at arcades when I was younger. Man that was alot of fun. However, the only remeaining arcade left around here hasent brought in a new game in several years. They still have Mortal Kombat 2. The next cloest one is the acrade at the mall, named 'The Tilt'. However, I rarely go to the mall these days, but every time I do I stop and drop about 20 dollars in playing arcade games.

FPS? Yesterday? FPS is the tomorrow of gaming. Look at Half-Life 2. By next year, you will realise how much that game will have changed the gaming industry.
The yesterday of gaming were flight sims and point-and-click adventures.
MMORPGs and 3rd person tactical shooters are fashionable these days.

I enjoy RPGs more than any other genre, and I also love racing games. Occasionally I play some FPS and Action/Adventure games like Prince of Persia, or Blood Rayne).

I used to enjoy puzzle games before I spent all my working hours for about 15 years puzzling over computer simulations and 1000s of lines of buggy code. I played some ancient strategy games on computers that you can see in the Smithsonian Tech museum. The only thing worse than seeing one of your first computers in the Smithsonian is noticing that their collection isn't complete and you have the finishing touch in your closet. From now on I spend ALL my time in the museums of ancient history and art. NO technology. It's too depressing. I can't vote because I don't know which category Pong goes in

Well if it aint obvious by my Avatar..........
CITY OF HEROES is where you'll find me most times.
But my fav's will always be a good Turn Based Stratergy. Then maybe a good RTS followed by a RPG. If you can call them RPG's. As a true roleplayer from when AD&D was still called Chainmail. It always irks me when games are called RPG. there is no way for anyone to truly roleplay.
Cant say I'm a big fan of FPS. Since all it seems to be most of the time, just a matter of who has the better computer usually wins. He who has the higher frame rates kills quicker. Yet I must say that Call of Duty and Battlefield 1942 changed my outlook on FPS, and have softened me up a lil on liking them.
But now that Im an MMO Junkie, consoles dont exist for me anymore. Not sure if I should try out WoW or MxO. Wearing spandex all the time is killin me, my drycleaning bills are insane.
