Anyone got any bright ideas on how I can solve this problem:
I can make the images for my board no problem, I enjoy it, love it, but unfortunately it seems my screen at home shows things lighter than everyone else's screens. Theres a couple at school that do too and the rest show it darker. This means whenever I make a banner or image of some sort I think something is the right combination of colours and then I see it on another screen and its almost too dark to read. Its extremely frustrating and its put me off sorting out the images etc for this board. Iv made a couple of sigs before with the same problem, they look perfectly colour coordinated at home and then at school or elsewhere they look rubbish Iv fiddled with a couple of my screen settings but I dont see a way to make it darker really.... Now, there is a difference between the colours looking lighter on your monitor at home and the colours looking rubbish everywhere else. If you mean they are lighter, which I guess is what you mean, then maybe it's because your brightness on the computer is just set to very light? My computer sometimes glares at me and I have to turn down the brightness.

Oh right... so how do I know what sort of brightness to set it to? Well, you just lower the brightness with your keys. Mine does this with the "Fn" key plus F8, which is for the brightness to go down. Your "F" keys should have signs on them - a sun and a "v" sign for down and a sign the other way round for turning the brightness up. Just click on the combination a few times until it's not so bright anymore.

Oh sorry, I am so used to the laptop keyboard that I didn't realise yours are different. Anyway, there should be brightness buttons on your computer. ;D

Brightening buttons on monitors are usually found on the lower part of the screen, down by the on/off switch Just had a peek at the maintenance board mode those nav buttons look pretty creative, and the banner is nice... but the purple colour is a touch bit bright, try using a less brighter purple (oops I guess you're back to the brightness button) sorry

You see everyone else has told me the purple is too dark... *sighs* You lot are just impossible to please I was thinking of going for a whole new colour scheme, starting over just for the hell of it but I dont know if I have the energy, I dont spend nearly so much time using PSP anymore. What I really need is Photoshop but its sooooo expensive tis not fair

I like the theme you have on there (from what I can see) and I don't think the colors are too bright or too dark, but that may just be my monitor. You are never going to get it a way to please everyone as everyone has different types of monitors with different settings, I used to worry alot about what everyone else thought about my board, and then I stopped, and made it look the way it made me happy. Come to find out people liked it more that way, than all the ways it looked when I was trying to please everyone else. If it really is too dark to read for the majority of the people, they will let you know, but overall I think you did a very good job.
