Does anybody know if rose is going to return? It'd be pretty upsetting if she didn't, she was awsome!

My opinion...I doubt it, well, not very soon anyway.

And as for the female Doctor malarky, the idea in itself is heretical at best. Nope, once a man, always a man (I'm speaking genetics here of course).

Who knows what Time Lords genectics are like? Before the last Dr Who changed he said he could end up with two heads or no heads. (Something like that.)

I know Doctor Who back to front and inside out, and I believe, based on what I've read, Time Lords cannot change gender. E.G. Romana from 'Destiny of the Daleks', different bodies yes, but none male. Also, I don't really like the idea of females receiving male roles, and vice versa. (Though please don't read that one wrong though).

I really do not think Rose will return. Besides, this is kind of a tradition of Doctor Who. Whenever the Doctor regenerates, if he's traveling with a companion, that companion doesn't tend to stay around long (although Sarah Jane stayed with the Fourth Doctor for quite a while). It was to be expected, for Rose to part ways with the Doctor.
And, usually, we never hear from that companion again.

i read somewhere that she isnt coming back, the bride who was in the tardis at the end of the last series is the doctor's new companion But it would be pretty damn funny if the doctor became female.... except that is impossible... because... prepare yourself.... the doctor is the god of the daleks! ha! just kidding.

Actually, it'd be impossible for the Doctor to become female because devout fans like me would kick up so much of a fuss that an act of Parliament would have to be passed! ;D *In the meantime, drags Oliver off to the nearest rubber room.*

The new assistant is going to be played by Freema Agyeman. You will know her from the finale when she was a worker in London Torchwood and got killed. She was also in Torchwood the series when she was a cyberwoman.

But she did get killed in Torchwood. Due to Cybermen controlling her.

I doubt Rose will return because she's in the parallel universe and the gateway was closed forever so she can't. Sorry :0
