And I wouldn´t think it has anything to do with the rank you reach, whether or not you could be come a mod. Doubtful that anyone but Myke would be Admin here. I believe that too many cooks spoil the broth or whatever dish they are trying to cook. LOL

Well to be honest, I have seen where only one admin can ruin a site as well, because if something were to happen and they cannot get online for awhile, the site can go down bigtime.
I know that if there are more than 1 admin, only the site creator has access to 100% of the admin menu(using ad free credits etc), but as far as mods and stuff, I think it should fall on how much knowledge, and also how often you post as well. Also I think Myke will be VERY careful in who he chooses to be another admin as well, especially after what he went through already. I dont blame him at all either. I went through the same thing before he did at the XFWL boards the first time, so its up to him to decide whether or not to add another.
I think it looks bad to have a forum mod only have say 200 posts, when the majority of the site posters may have 3 or 4 times that amount as well. Of course if a site is new, its understandable.

Errrm.... yes. LOL I think Xantos might be referring to me, being a newly assigned mod in one of the forums. And all I was trying to get across is that, IMHO, you need to be passionate about the board, post actively and not just pop in once every two weeks and be a little creative in order to "earn" the honour of being made moderator by the Admin.

I agree 100% Valderra. I think to be made a mod of a forum, you need to be posting alot in that very forum. It would look stupid for the site, to have me, say be a mod of the Star Wars forum, when I rarely post in that forum.

LOL If I was made mod at the Farscape forum, I would be more lost than a sparrow in the desert. LOL

After one reaches aptain or he classified rank. can one become an admin at least a thrad moderator or a global moderator? Moderatorship is not earned by a post count. Moderators are choosen only when needed, and are not handed out as a reward. At this point in time, I don't need moderators to help me enforce rules, as I still am able to view every single post on Temporal Reality. A Moderators primary duty here on Temporal Reality is to be a 'forum driver' as while I can able to enfore the rules and TOS on the whole site, I am unable to drive every forum properly (ie Attempting to keep it active, and in a good direction) I doubt there will be another administrator on Temporal Reality. I am capible of making all of the graphics on Temporal Reality, and I am able to manage all of the coding of the site easily by myself, as well as other admin fuctions, so there would really be no need for another admin. However... if I was to have to go offline for an extended period of time, I'd likely have two global moderators here with complete member control power to watch over things while I am away. Also, as Mike said, I've had major problems with administrators and staff in the past on another board - too many cooks in the kitchen as Valderra said, and it is a problem I plan to never have again, ecspecially on Temporal Reality, a site that I, and everyone here has spent so much time on to make it what it is today. Another thing that may not be known, is most moderators here are people whom I've known since before thet joined Temporal Reality, I met them on other boards and spent time posting with them there, and over the months/years I have grown to know them and trust them. Then there are two whom I met here on TR, but they were one of the first two members, and they stuck with me, and Temporal Reality for the first 4 months, even though this site was often a ghosttown, with sometimes more then 2 weeks passing w/out a post. Most anyone else, me included, would have just moved on, but they didnt, so when I needed people to drive forums, they were selected. They were not selcted to reward them, they were selcted as they proved they were comitted to Temporal Reality. When I select mods, I look for a few things, how often they post, how well they know a certain topic, how 'well' they post (ie friendly, or argumentitive), ect. I hope this answers you moderator questions

Actually the funny thing is alot of people would have said "screw you" when I came back also, and wouldn't have still talked on AIM for the entire time after I had left either. And Myke was also cool and never once on AIM plugged his site left and right to me after I had left either. And unlike others as well, I didnt completely abandon Myke and this site either, I did give him my word that he could use my village photo account and I never cut him off from that either and to this day some images are still hosted there. Although there was a situation shortyl after with it, I got it straightened out with VP and Myke to where he can access the site whenever and where ever he wants with no probs. And no matter how much I do for this site, I never expect anything in return for it, and Myke knows that as well. Incidentally Myke the bandwidth has been upgraded free of charge as well Plan B will increase from 60MB a day to 120MB They basically doubled it when they expanded their servers (which was why it was down last week a few times) Also there is room for ore stuff if you want to actually move the stuff over if you want.

I haven´t been online that long. LOL The first time I was a member at a message board - that was The Sims UK board, was last year in January. But I made a friend there and she has been my moderator since June last year.
