You knew it was coming. What I would really, really, really like to see added to Temporal Reality is: A The Lord of The Rings board! Perhaps it won't be very active, but it's proven a success at Realms of Wonder, so it might be worth a try.

A good idea....but I think that would fall under the realm of the fantasy board.....I don;t know if it would be popular enough to have its own forum...but let myke see this and see what he thinks

Perhaps you should name the board: Intelligent Discussion about The Lord of The Rings including all the characters and not just one blonde pointy eared bow-twanger.
But then again, they still wouldn't have a clue what was going on. Just zap any Leggie Lovers with your laser watches or something. Demonstration:
"orli leglas iz soo hawt lol omg?!11!!oneone lotr roxx!!1"

I actually would be honored to have a LOTR forum here!! I've started on 'The Hobbit' (My first Tolkien book, yeah I know, i'm a discrace ) and do love the movies! I've been meaning to expand Temporal Reality for a while, to include different elements of Fantasy, and possibly horror, but only expand as it's requested by at least 5 members or more. I love Farscape, probably my second favorite Si-Fi TV series behind Star Trek, but the Farscape forum has been struggeling since it opnened, due to the fact tha alot of TR members havent been able to see it. So yes, I'd love to have a LOTR forum here, then only requirment it would have is if there is enough intrest here to keep it an active board. So if you guys really want it, and will keep it active, then yes, I'd be more then happy to add one!! Plus I'd like to discuss it a little more myself, as there are many aspects I'm not as familiar with. Alot of my Trek knowledge has come from simple discussions online over the years, and LOTR would be no different. Sound good?

Well I know that I'll try my best to keep a The Lord of The Rings board active at all times.
Perhaps if there are so many members here at Temporal Reality that haven't read any of Tolkien books, that you have a 'reading project'. This is where you can all go off and read a certain book (everyone reads the same book, or the same chapter) and then you come back and express your thoughts and compare etc.
It's worked before on LOTR forums (with more advanced readers though, picking out new points each time that are difficult to see for most readers), and this could work well here if enough people want to try and read a book (such as The Hobbit, which would be a good start).

Wow, that reading project is an awesome idea Dill. Never thought about it. Also, chapter-by-chapter annotated text and analysis might also provide unlearned readers with the knowledge they need to fully understand Middle Earth. As you probably know Kamel, if there's a LotR board, I'll do my best to keep it active. And shame on you for only starting the Hobbit now.

Well, I have read both "The Hobbit" and LOTR several times long before the blooming films came out. LOL So... I am game whatever you say - as long I don´t have to talk about that wigged long-ear. hahahaha... ;D And while I am here... how about those of you who know about Red Dwarf but haven´t really yet gotten yourself up there to that forum - get your butts over there and not just read but post as well. Ta...

If anyone wants to loan me the trilogy... while you're not reading it that is... I'm here. Show some charity! Cus if I check it out at the library I have to have it in by a certain amount of time, ya see.

Cus if I check it out at the library I have to have it in by a certain amount of time, ya see. Well, it takes quite a long time to read. The first time I read the books, I had to go forth and back because I kept forgetting who was who and where was what place etc. Of course with the films, it´s made easier to remember. What I am trying to say is, why not buy the books. They are not that expensive anymore, especially if you buy them in paperback.
