are photobucket completely free ?? I wouldn't get too upset with them because they have server problems with the amount of users they have. But I would move to one more stable, lol .. They are free. You used to be able to donate to lift all restrictions. They have made changes too that I am not happy with. We used to get 100 mb a of upload space, and 2,500 mb per month of bandwidth transfer. Even with TR's images being split between Photobucket and VillagePhotos, we were stil lucky to stay under the 2,500 mb per month. Now, they have changed thier policy. We are only allowed 10 mb per month. amd 1,500 mb of bandwidth transfer per month, which isn't nearly enough for TR's traffic. There is no way we can keep under that unless out site comes to a hault traffic wise, and I'm not donating money to them for the fact that they have been so unrealiable. So my only choice is to abandon them. Their offer just dosen suit Temporal Reality's needs anymore.

That's fair enough. Nothing is free in this world ..... even the good air costs you.

Well, it looks like Photobucket is down AGAIN. I am just glad I stuck with Lycos - they are not as simply to use as photobucket but I never had any trouble with them. *big smile*

I doubt it. Thier premium accounts reside on the same servers as free accounts, they are just allowed unsrestricted bandwidth. Over the next few days, all Photobucket TR images will be moved from Photobucket to a different host, to try and prevent this from happening again.

I think Free Webs lets you upload images to your web site, so you can just host them from there. And since it's free, that might make a good option.

Well thanks to voyager, TR has access to a paid host in Village Photos. Currently there was a mess up with Paypal, and it wont be sorted utill September 30th, but I've temp fixed everything except the custom backgrounds and headers in the custom forums (Star Trek, Wars, ect.) So they will be down for at least 3 days. AT that time, everything visable is getting taken off of Photobucket. In the past year, VP has went down 0 times, as opposed to Photobuckets 12.

Photobucket is the best host... Free accounts has a great bandwidth. Photobucket just cut thier offers by half for free accounts. I've used PhotoBucket for the past 10 months, and have had problems with them going down more times then I would have liked to, and even ran out of bandwidth when TR got super busy. During all of that time, VillagePhotos has went down 0 times, and we only ran out of bandwidth once, and then the acount was upgraded to an even higher level of a paid account. So as long as TR has access to a reliable, paid for account, I'll be using that, as I know I wont wake up one morning, and find all of our images down, for the 4th time that month, like I have so many previous months.
