Hello, everyone, I'm new o this forum, and I absolutly love it I was browsing through the stargate forum, and I realized the only thing missing was a favorite quote section. So here it is. My favorite quote (or one of them) is in "A window of Oppurtunity", and Jack goes "...three fries short of a happy meal, WACKO!" It kills me every time.

Hi zangoose, welcome to TR!
You are right, we definitely need a quote thread. I love that quote, and there are so many good ones in that episode (One of my favorite episodes too!). Early on, before he has the loop memorized, he's sitting in on a briefing and....
Sam Carter: Normally neutrinos pass right through ordinary matter, no matter how dense. I mean, something like five hundred million billion just passed through you. Jack O'Neill: No matter how dense.
And then later in the same episode....
Jack O'Neill: Hey, if you'd been listening you'd know that Nintendos pass through everything. Daniel: I heard. Jack O'Neill: Everything.
And then, there's that great quote about my avatar...
Daniel: She's Hathor, the goddess of fertility, inebriety, and music. Jack O'Neill: Sex, drugs, and rock & roll?
But my absolute favorite quote is actually from the movie. O'Neil said to the young inhabitants of Abydos...
"I'm on Planet X and I'm looking for a dweeb..."

Yeah, there are a bunch of great quotes from the tv show. I'm watching the movie as we speack, and I don't like it as much as the show. Of course, I'm also on the intenet, so I guess I can't watch it too well But the movie does clear a lotta things up for me. Some of my favorite quotes: Daniel: "Are these artifacts? Why wasn't I contacted?" O'Neil: "Daniel, Go to your happy place." Carter: "The Asgard have this bg new ship, the ONEILL" ONeill: "Oh yeah?!" Carter: "But ... we had to blow it up." ONeill: Apophis wanted me to tell all of you that the whole invasion of Earth thing has been cancelled, due to ... uh ... rain! O'Neill: "I think I remember a man, he's bald, round and he means a lot to me. I think his name is . . . Homer" Jack: You read the Bible, Teal'c? Teal'c: It is a significant part of your Western culture. Have you not read the Bible O'neill? Jack: Oh yeah, yeah, not all of it. Actually, I'm listening to it on tape. Don't tell me how it ends. CARTER: It turns out we made a mistake. A big one. O'NEILL: Which one? We made a few... CARTER: Our alliance with the Aschen. O'NEILL: Oh that's not working out, is it? Gosh I wish I'd seen that coming. O'NEILL: Oh, wait... I did see it coming. I've got some more, too

I like the series much better than the movie, too. But I love that quote. It captures the whole unreality of Stargate travel, at least at that point in time. You power it up, you step through and who knows what happens to you? It was a nice nod to all the science fiction B movies of the 40s, 50s and 60s too. ;D

Wow, I can't possibly pick a favorite quote from this show. There are so many episodes that I cannot even recall some of them in my head.
Anyways, for some reason, almost every dialogue between O'Neill and Teal'c seems really funny to me.

I like the one where O'neil is being interrogated by Baal and O'Neil has a go at Baal for ending his sentence with a proposition.

Does the whole script to the "Window of Opportunity" episode count?
Just joking, I like all of the famous quotes from that episode.

From "Touchstone" Teal'c to Maybourn: In my culture, I would be well within my rights to dismember you.
My neighbors must think I'm nuts...I ran this line about 20 times last night.

One of my favorite lines is in 'Enigma', when Daniel walks in on Sam and Narim kissing, he goes "whoops" in this really funny voice. It gets me every time.

I think anything with O'Neill and Teal'c is hilarious. Like when Teal'c gets a big wound in him, and O'Neill gives him some green jello, and then Daniel walks in and Teal'c says something like...ummmm....well i dont remeber what he says but, i think it was funny.

Actually, one of my favorites isn't a quote. It's just body language. I think it was in season 6 or maybe 7. Daniel, Teal'c and O'Neil are in the scene. They're on a ship with a bunch of Earth supplies. Including Haagen Daz ice cream. Teal'c is putting down some vanilla ice cream. O'Neill makes like he's going to dig in to Teal'c ice cream with his own spoon. Teal'c guards it and glares. Then (I think) Daniel hands O'Neil his own carton.
Words don't do it justice, but it cracked me up watching it.

Oh yes! I played the ice cream scene at least a half dozen times. I think that is the point where Teal'c became my favorite character...I was raised to have the same "don't mess with my food" mentality.
