Here is my site: www.whoistheone.proboards76.com I've put a lot of work in it, although the results don't show up. It had its ups and downs... mostly downs... Now we are celebrating our 30 members You can say your honest opinions about it, be honest and cruel! Feel free to drop a visit any time you wish

I'm sorry for the bump, but it's for a noble cause. This place has completely died out, though people sign in they never post, so I would like all the friendly advice I can get on what to do: I'm thinking to completely revamp this (keeping the theme of course) but I would like to know your views on what to do to make it more appealing.

I'm sorry for the bump, but it's for a noble cause. Not to worry - we are all in the same boat, and a little bump every now and then doesn't hurt. I see you want some opinions... Hmmm... OK, First of all, instead of using the same shade for both Windows 1 and 2, I would either make Windows 1 a couple of shades darker or Windows 2 slightly lighter. It will look more interesting on the main page and in the threads, where the posts will then have alternative colours. Here is a great site for some nice colour schemes, in case you are looking: www.december.com/html/spec/color.htmlI am so surre about the blue gradient/highlight image. That image on the gradients looks slightly dead and flat. Also, although this is a Matrix forum (usually the colours are black/green), something a little more uplifting might be better. I would also suggest a different background (there is already a blue Matrix banner). I would suggest something simple, with a pattern or textured, but no images. Here is a good site to get backgrounds from: www.top100-websites.com/bg/Or... if you really want to use a Matrix image, I have a couple here for you to try out. Just download the images to your computer - I will delete them from my account again, once you have done it: img.photobucket.com/albums/v83/Valderra/matrixQ1024X768.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v83/Valderra/Matrix17.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v83/Valderra/Matrix029.jpgSince you are using Firefox, I suppose it's no good suggesting to change the blue default colour of your scroll bar to match the rest of the forum - only IE users will see the difference. That's all from me.

That's all from me. Thanks for the tips Valderra, much apreciated, that's for sure. I didn't realize until now that a differnt window bg and window bg 2 color will result in alternative post area colors, sounds really cool so I'll try it out. I think I'll completely get rid of the gradients, they don't look too great on any of the skins but I wanted to try them on for a while. I'll just leave them as board highlights. Thank you for the images, I have saved them, so you can delete them I will do some editing to them to spice them up a bit and replace the one I currently have. I think I might create an entirely new skin, or switch back to the orange one ... I'll put it up for some maintenance soon enough to clear the headers and footers so I can change the skins, I'll finally delete all the 0 posters, clear up some threads, start some new ones... I'll try to give it a fresh look.

I've just had a look and you've done a good job there. But of course as the Matrix isn't really a major interest of mine there's no point in my joining, but I like the layout. Hmm? I advise you to click the link and look in the top table: what other staff members? I have demoted them all a few days ago for inactivity, I've warned them since the beginning of the year that this will happen. However I am putting under maintenance as chances are real high that I mess things up badly as I need to clear everything from my headers and footers, locaed the code for different headers for differnt skins, remove it, then put everything back up, make a new skin, delete an existing one, move some threads, experiment with some codes, etc. I'd rather know no one is seeing the mess I make.

Once the site comes back to life I'll get concerned with staffing it again. EDIT: didn't want to bump it. I've tremoved some codes, gradients, put it out of maintenance so far while I'll get to work on the new skin, as this might take a while. In the mean while back to orange look
