Imdb said it is a fantasy movie so:
This movie is based on a book written by Stephen King and stars Tom Hanks and Michael Duncan Clarke.
I was really impressed by this movie, by a lot of things, mostly by the end. Now I'm really interested in reading the book.

This movie is based on a book written by Stephen King and stars Tom Hanks and Michael Duncan Clarke.
The movie opens at a seniors retirement center where we see an old man, Paul, making misterious visits in the woods, and then bursting into tears when watching an old Fred Astaire movie. He begins to tell an old woman his life story.
In 1935 Paul was a prison guard in the sector where those sentenced to death were waiting for the sentenced to be carried on. One day a new prisoner is brought, a giant man, John, very scared, who is accused of killing two girls.
John cures Paul of an infection which was kind of severe in a very miraculous way. Then he brings to life a small mouse which one of the other guards had killed. Everyone is amazed by the miracles John does.
One night, John, with his powers, makes one guard loose his minds and kill one of the other prisoners, Wild Bill, a trouble maker. When Paul questions his motivation, John grabs his hand and gives Paul "a part of himself", allowing him to see that Bill was the one that killed those two girls, not him.
However Paul can do nothing to stop John's sentenced being carried on, and he grants him the last wish of seeing a movie, a Fred Astaire movie.
John, like the other prisoners, gets killed on the electric chair, in a very sad ceremony.
Thus Paul ends his story, making his old friend puzzled about one thing: how come he said he had a grown up son in 1935. He takes her to a shack in the mountains where he shows her his secret: the mouse which John had revived back then, a mouse which was now very old but still alive. Paul tells her friend that he was now 108 years old, that John passed him the gift of life when showing him the truth about the murderer.
He has a monologue explaining how his punishment for killing John, a miracle of God, was living to see everyone he cared about die. He is curious how many years will he still live if that mouse has lived for so long, and he meditates on how every man is walking their green mile in life, but how his green mile seems to be longer than ever.
