I was going to put "other" as an option as well. So if it's someone else please specify who.
I like Legoals and not just because he's gorgeous. lol I am also a big Haldir fan.

Aragorn is my favourite. He is just what a man should be (and I am not talking about the movie guy but the book Strider). A close second is Legolas - again, the book version.

My favourite characters are Erkenbrand, Elrohir, Elladan, Imrahil and Cirdan and Halbarad.
Erkenbrand is my favourite. I showed why in a different topic. Elladan and Elrohir are my two favourite Elves (well, half-elven) because they have a more mannish trait in them. They are also far more active than the rest of thier kin in the War of The Ring. They carry the ancient banner of the King to Minas Tirith via the Black Fleet, and they ride with Halbarad and the Dúnedain to Aragorn's aid. Imrahil was very similar to them; he has elvish blood in him, and he's related to the line of Stewards. He was probably the best man in Gondor after Aragorn after the War of The Ring. It's my honest belief that Cirdan is the wisest Elf in Middle-Earth, after giving Narya to Gandalf, having forseen that he was the wisest of the Istari, and also knowing that the elvish ring would play a part in the War.

I had to pick Aragorn myself. From what I know of him, he seemed like a loner at first, but one with a decent heart, and a hell of a lot of determination to get done what needs to be done.
Legolas would be my second, but it kinda suck that these two are teen bopper favorites, or whatever, as it makes me feel cleche, lol.

It's not my fault a bunch of stupid little kids think he's cute. I don't know why I don't really like Aragon. He just kind of bugs me.

I have to say Gimli. I have more in common with him than with any other characters.

LOL Ember, I never said you was. I just know there are millisons of little girls who love those two, and as irnony would have it, I like those characters too, but for completly different reasons, like you (For Legolas).

You forgot the most important character of them all...Gollum. He is my favorite so I guess he falls into the "other" category. Just remember while Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas held off Sauron's eye and Gandalf guided everyone, Frodo gave in to the power...and Gollum saved the world

Faramir is my favourite. What a guy! It must have been very hard not to take the ring from Frodo.

Depends if you're looking at the book Faramir or the film Faramir. The book Faramir found it easy to not take the ring. He even said that if he found it lying on the road, he would not take it. He does not see the attraction to it at all. The film Faramir is just a younger version of Boromir (and that is a crime), and as we can see he found it difficult to keep his composure when Frodo was around with the ring around his neck. *sigh* If only they hadn't messed with Faramir's character.

I liked the movie Faramir. He turned out to be so sweet. His dad is an ass.

I meant both of them (book and movie). It's true they didn't quite got him in the movie, but I didn't see him as younger version of Boromir, they showed he was just a human after all. But that's just my point of view. Although, Faramir from the book is way much better characther than the one from the movie.

My favorite Lord of the Rings character would have to be Aragorn.
Though he's not the most unique Tolkien character, Aragorn's character in the books shows great leadership, is very skilled in battle, is mysterious and shrewd. He's a perfect example of your classic fantasy hero.
