Time to buy yet another shelf for the DVD's for sure. So far TNG and DS9 take up two entire rows of a 5 ft long shelf just for them.

Question: What does the DVD have that the original airings on TV don't?? I have all but 2 episodes of TNG on VHS ( thought that 'The Dauphin' & 'Genesis' not worth recording) and I think all of Voyager on VHS. Why are you two spending big $ on DVDs? Are their juicy extras like blooper reel or behind-the-scenes docs or technical info?? Just curious Riva

Well. .. . I don't have any series on tape, only a few episodes I have taped that I wished to see when I wasnt able to watch the re run.
Another reason is, I have never seen Voyager in chronological order, and I think that would be great. There are also some Voyager episodes I have missed completly, for instace all of them w/ Q (even the one where Q brings Riker aboard) and the one where Captain Geordi LaForge makes an apperance, Timeless I believe.
Voyager is in sydication here, but from what I hear the deal is about to expire, and who knows when i'll be able to get thos episodes.
The behind the scenes stuff is interesting as well, but there is a collectors feeling to it as well, as I like to collect DVDs. I often buy movies on DVD I want to see before I have even seen them. Sometimes I get lucky and get a great movie, other times it's not worth the money spent on it.
Now, I actually have no desire to get the TNG seasons, as I have seen every episode to death, thanks to Spike TV playing TNG 3 times a day, 5 days a week, and running a TNG marathon every other months or so. One day though, if price comes down, I may get them, but not at the current price.
I was wanting the DS9 DVD's but Spike TV is about to start them in sydication beginning in March, so I'll hold of on them as well.
