Who know, perhaps this will catch up with other series?
Anywho, I'm starting to watch Voyager again, and tonights episode was "Twisted", where a spacial distortion changes the shape of the ship, The Doctor can't get out of Paris' holo programme, and they're all be crushed to death unless they hide in the holodeck.
Despite the shocking fact I'm liking Tuvok more this time, it is a bit of an early season "There's a problem, everybody run to the holodeck!" I couldn't help but snigger tough when Tom said to Be'lanna "I tought you handled that very well", when she opened a door on a practically naked crewman,
So any one remember this episode?

I do. It was a good one. Most of Voyager was really good. I was surprised to find out how many people didn't like the series. I enjoyed it and rewatch it often

The last one I watched was where Paris and Neelix where fighting in the mess hall over Kes, then had to go off together on a planet expedition together for stock food etc. They also became parents on the planet to a reptilian life form!

If I remember correctly, they became friends after that and had many adventures that were fun to see It was cool to see them set apart their differences and take care of that baby whatever it was though That's how life is though. You don't like someone for one reason or another and something happens that forces you to get over it and you work together to finish a task. Once that's done, you may or may not get over the differences, but training and professionalism take over and you do what you have to do Star Trek in general has always shown that about people

I watched what I consider one of the best early season episodes of Voyager, Prototype.
When I first watched Voyager years ago, i Gave up in season to because, like most of the Star Trek series, they take a while to get going and can have some very, very dodgy episodes. So when i got back into it (Again years ago) 7 of 9 was already in it, so I missed a few seasons.
Now with Prototype, if not sure if I had given up before then or just missed this episode, but I thought it was very good. It was the story of the Voyager crew finding this robotic life form floating in space, and Be'lanna does her best to reactivate it as they return it. But by doing so gets captured and forced to make a new part that is standard among they're people so they can build more, they're creators having died. To save them from extinction and stop them destroying Voyager, she does so, reluctantly, but by doing so initiates a means for them to do this and kill off any one who disagrees with them to wishing to extend their race, and a mass war.
Lots to talk about - I loved the robotic character and couldn't help feel sorry for him even when Janeway kept ramming the "Prime Directive" down Be'lanna's throat with not building the new capacitor. (or whatever it was.) Even when they were heavily damaging Voyager, I couldn't hate them, but feel sorry for them!
It was a great moral story as well and a great story for Be'lanna as well. Even Data from TNG got a mention!
Remember this eppy?

I do. It reminded me of the world's blind stupidity. Whatever they were fighting about was over with, but they couldn't let go of their way so to speak
A stupid, but fitting example is Gilligan's Island. The eppy I speak of is when they found the old Japanese guy that didn't know where he was, or that the war was over. He took control of the island and captured them all
Think if someone discovered a frozen person from colonial times and were able to bring them back. They would think that war was going on and wouldn't know what to do
They wouldn't know that we are friends now and could do all kinds of things that would cause problems with whoever they were with. Even if they were with allies they wouldn't believe the war was over
Can't blame Janeway so much for trying to stay out of it I guess. I don't think that qualified as a Prime Directive problem so she prolly should have stuck with it and used real fire power to end their war instead of running away after B'lanna was safe. It might have changed that part of the galaxy to be a better place

Voyager should have had a sexy babe as captain and be like Captain Kirk - have sex on every planet Voyager visited.

Why? Voyager was great the way it was. If you want sexy babes on a show you should try an adult channel and enjoy Star Trek when you're not watching that adult channel ;D

I've come to the conclusion that season 4 was a great season for Voyager as I now go into season 5. There were a few mediocre episodes, though "Random Thoughts" and any episode right after the excellent Year Of Hell Parts I & II, which, has always been a favourite of mine, would be. I wasn't keen on "The Killing Game" 1 & II though, would've been better if there was more opening dialogue, explanation of the take over. Any thoughts on season 4 anyone?

I am in the middle of season 4 myself. Season 4 does have that excellent Year Of Hell story line. I agree that many episodes seemed like filler after that. I have also noticed that 1 out of 3 is real story line that effects the series, while 2 out of 3 is just filler. These are the forgettable episodes that don't really matter in the long run.
