Are you guys ever gonna update the info center on TR so that it is the v4 one? With the "users in last 24 hours" and etc.?

I like the "Users In The Last 24 Hours", but it makes the info center even chunkier - the time you add on Forum Statistics, Birthdays, Users Online (Currently), it just makes it look worse on default. And most of the info center codes I don't like, there's always something it leaves out.
You've also got to consider, that messing with this template again, could bugger it up again. And it took Myke a long time to get straight again.

Okay folks, I have finally removed the old info center. Not because I dislike it though, but because it no longer works fully, the "last post" and "posted by" in the info center just keeps coming up as N?A. Unfortunately by removing it (Don't worry, I copied it to notepad!) it has taken the rest of the "plating" background in the center behind it, though it seems to be only on the main page. Do not panic, I am trying to find a way to remedy it.

It also seems to have misaligned things towards the left. Bones, I remember the info center used to do that when the last posts were a few days old.

It's been N/A in the info center for a while now though, even with new posts or posts from the previous day, which is why I took it out - it simply doesn't work any more. You've also got to consider, that messing with this template again, could bugger it up again. And it took Myke a long time to get straight again. As I've said, that's the problem with this template, it's OLD and is falling apart and the coder isn't around on ProVision any more. Touch one thing and it falls apart. Even when I restored everything after keeping notepad copies of the heads and footers, it still hasn't gone back to normal. This template just doesn't work any more and is causing too many issues. I am currently experimenting on a test forum to see what it would be like without the coding, it'd be basic, but at least it'd be functional. Unfortunately here the phrase "If it ain't broke don't fix it" doesn't apply, it is falling apart. The test forum for here (Work in progress), can be found here: *No longer needed

Is it just me? Or does it seem to be getting worse? I see more of the textured background than the starfield. And more of the texture than I did the other day

Alot of you asked about the info center, I didn't want to remove it. Said info center plays up - constantly showing N/A posts (Even with posts from day before or on same day), I remove it - no choice but to. Some people relieved, others now keep mentioning the alignment problem. I can't win. It can't be one or the other. I said it would muck up the template, but I had no choice but to remove it. The original coder from Provision has gone., Myke isn't around to fix it and as I've stated - it's a very old template that's falling to bits. I will temporarily strip all the coding completely (Keeping colours and look in tact as much as possible) to see how it looks. I want the very best for this forum, and that means a slightly better loading time and no coding errors so be it, but it's up to all of you, what you want it most important. Time to decide everyone, once and for all. Simple look? Or shall I do a make over?

I do love the current theme/scheme, but maybe it would be worth to do a makeover that is v4.5 compatible, in light of the 5th anniversary?

I'm currently working on a new look to see what I can do, but at the same time it will still be quintessentially very TRish. In the end it's down to you lot, is it time for a make-over?

Honestly? I wouldn't change much. Keep the cats separated like they are (maybe look for an updated code in the database at proboards), keep the images and colors you have, and change the background. You really don't need to change that much I don't think to get the problems resolved. Then there's always Craig. He can help you out here too

Bones, the layout on that test forum looks amazing Have you done that all by yourself? The only thing I'd change there is the blue tint on the place where it says "this is a test forum", maybe you could make it gray-er. But I think it would make an awesome layout for TR

It's still a long way off yet, I've just modified the headers and footer divider images again, and the background. One advantage is - as they're similar in colour, alot of the icons can be used still. Guest posting is enabled. So have a look around let me know what you think.

That is a very nice start!! Looks great old friend
