Sad news for the Trek Community. Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, Trek actress and widow of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, passed away today as a result of complications from leukemia. She was 76. Her Trek roles include "Number One" in the original TOS pilot The Cage, Nurse Chapel in TOS (and Doctor Chapel in the movies), Lwaxana Troi in TNG and DS9, and of course the standard Starfleet computer voice, a role that was heard in all 5 shows. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Roddenberry.

F**k As Chris said, besides Number One, Nurse Chapel and Lwaxana Troi she was was one of the most recognised institutio0ns Of Star Trek because of being the movie of the modern Starfleet computer systems. I'm not religious but you could say she'll mete with Gene again, at last. R.I.P. Majel Barrett-Roddenberry. Me too, what a beautiful tribute to Star Trek, could've had a little longer on the TOS movies and DS(, but, amazing.

Such sad news. She was great as her role as Nurse Chapel, Lwaxana Troi, and especially the voice of the Starfleet computers. Her computer voice was a staple in the Trek franchise in my opinion. I have recently read that she played the voice in the new Trek movie coming out. She will definitely be missed.
