I thought the TOS movie uniforms WOK & beyond were just a little too military looking. But at least they looked WARM! Can you tell I whine whenever the temperature drops below 65? I think that is why we kind of like them is they were a little military looking....they were spiffy...LOL and yes...I do believe we can tell you whine when it gets anything below roasting ;D

I liked them because they were the best looking uniforms for the crew of TOS IMO.
The ones from the TV show looked like they were rags, the ones from the motion picture made it look like there were meterosexuals designing uniforms in the 23rd century, but the uniforms from 2-6 looked spiffy.
They also were mutipurpose, you could take off the coat and still look good in uniform, and the part that opens and closes on the chest was a cool feature as well.
I like my uniform I have, complete with the admiral and Captain's rank.

Uniform replicas was actually what made me think of this thread. I was on the Star Trek Las Vegas site looking through thier store (Trying to replace a Klingon hat I lost long ago) and was looking at thier uniforms.
If a convention ever comes close enough for me to go, I will buy a uniform to wear, and I decided on the Late DS9/ TNG Movies one.

Wolf needs to stop marking his own nose as his territory. The fumes are getting to him I think.

It would seem that south has been where CW's nose has been the majority of the time lately. Sniffing uniforms seems to be his Catnip. Just make sure you get the right ones! Or need I remind you of your "Will _______ for food" sign from a ways back. That was a strange chat, but still a nice one. Attempting (and failing miserably) to get things back on something resembling track, the pajamas (TOS, TNG, TMP) don't seem like they would cut it. The others are a nice evolution from the last one. Just my op though... Favorite? the warm ones, meaning late DS9/Nemesis.

Wow. We seem to be in complete agreement about something according to the poll. Who'd a thunk?

...Or just an odd set of circumstances culminating in what the majority call 'Reality'.

It took my RAM the longest time to recall that chat from memory... was it the one with the big macs by any chance? *COUGH* Getting back on topic, I don't see what posessed the costume designers to do that to the females during TOS... what thee hell?? As Spock would say, "highly illogical, captain" Never made sense to me... ever.

Ratings. When in doubt, it's probably ratings.
The uniforms from ST:II to VI, and Nemesis share that common, and probably much appreciated if you actually - or had to - wear one. If you got hot under the collar, take off the coat. If you're relaxing, off goes the coat if you want.
Voyager started that point, and hit it on the head. I merely expanded on it.
As for that chat, don't know. Most of it is a blur, but several segments are clear enough still. Whether they involved big macs is unclear, but I do remember something about dust, cars, and a possible arrest for what might have been written on a sign.
Back on topic though. If I actually got around to wearing one of the uniforms (I haven't yet; I'm not that much of a fan. It could also be I can't suspend the illusion of my pride long enough to do so), then it would be a toss up between the ones from WOK (II) to TUC (VI), or the late DS9/Nemesis ones.
Both have their good points and their drawbacks, but at the moment, it's still a toss-up as to which one I would choose.

Ok well i chose the Nemesis to First contact one becuase it looks the coolest. The TOS era looks like pajamas so you couldn't go on away missions becuase you would get cold. Also the colours stupid like bright gold and they look like something you go to bed in. The enterprise the new ones looks like navy suits so it looks more military. But i guess they are more military becuase they don't really know whats out there. The season one TNG looks rubbish but the later seasons looks ok. But the admirals unifrom seemed to look different all the time. The Deep space 9 / Voyager is my second favouite. But how can you beat the newsest uniform. Simpley the best. Good song too. If anyones heard it ok going off subject lol.
