So here's what puzzles me (and hello everyone incidentally!), where exactly does one GET a decent Starfleet uniform? Bit of a fan of DS9 unifroms myself and I found this thread searching back and forth for a reliable supplier, and so far all I can tell is that the answer definitely isn't either here: www.startrekexp.com/store/cart.php?m=product_list&c=282Nor is it apparently here: www.nightmarefactory.com/trek.htmlSince adding the desired uniform adds the poetically titles item "DISCONTINUED ITEM" to ones shopping cart, which strongly suggests those folks don't have a clue how to run a web store and aren't to be trusted with a credit card :P. Any suggestions?

Welcome to TR Hantai! I think Myke mentioned somewhere earlier in this thread that you could get a uniform at the Las Vegas Hilton (where The Star Trek Experience is located. Here's a link to the store www.startrekexp.com/store/cart.phpBut, it looks like at least at the moment they're out of that style of uniform. I would bet that any decent sized convention would have uniforms of all sorts on sale, though.

Cheers Oblivion.
Unfortunately as you can see from the more direct link I included in my post the best polite description for the vegas store collection is 'extremely weak'. Unless their policy is to not list items at all when they're out of stock (poor marketting from an official trek supplier? That'd be a first!) I don't see anything good becoming available anytime soon :(.
Conventions... There was a large official expo event in London about a year ago but the office had me abroad the entire time, figures ey? No idea if anyting regular and worth attending happens in the UK...#nosmileys

I had always planned on buying a uniform from the Star Trek Experience website, but may not now, if it's discontinued. You could always check EBay, I'm sure there are hundreds on there, and like oblivion said, conventions. I once had a black had, with nothing on it except a red Klingon symbol. I loved that thing, but lost it almost a year ago, and can't find it anywhere. It used to be on the ST Experience.com's store, but not now. On another note, last Friday I went to my brothers office to hang with him for the day, and noticed a real life Bat'Leth hanging his wall. It was cool as hell, I took it down and held it, and it was pretty heavy. It had real sharp tips, and the baldes were so sharp I could have sliced tomatoes. He dosen't know where it came from, one of his managers bought it for him for christmas, but it is 10 percent real. Man I'd love to have it. Next time I go back to his office, I'm gonna take my digital camera, and get a picture of me holding it, I'll share it with you guys.

Well, as long as you only want to be Evil Spock from the mirror universe, ST:Exp still hase you covered ;). EBay, tricky, with electronics you always have to question of whether the kit you buy will work properly and for more than 2 days when it reaches you. The situation gets worse with any kind of customized item as you have to start worrying about the quality of craftsmanship, photos will never convey how good a uniform really looks (well unless it's REALLY awful!), and you have no way of knowing if the thing will survive the rigors of a day at a convention (let alone a lifetime of repeated use). Feedback ratings are rarely any good with clothing in particular since feedback is usually left after first inspection is satisfactory, time can change the buyer's opinion quite effectively, but we never hear about that bit. Blades are another passion of mine, if that Bat'Leth is nicely sharp that's a good sign, most cheaper display blades are left dull except for pointed tips. Assuming an honest vendor price is your telltale marker to craftsanship, regardless of the kind of blade you're buying, be it a real of fantasy design. Your average display Bat'Leth or Katana set will run at less than $100 (ex: A complete Hattori Hanzo (must.. hurt... quentin... tarantino....) set, yous for less that $40: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43338&item=6509916109&rd=1) for the money you get items that may look quite good but are well and trully useless for any kind of practical use, try to recreate your favorite fight scene and your weapon will be ruined within 10 minutes. A practical use blade will run between $500-1000 for a katana (ex: www.fudoshin.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=165), a Bat'Leth is likely to sit on the upper end of that scale or maybe even higher as it contains a fair bit more metal than a sword and requires uncommonly high skill to produce correctly using quality materials and techniques. Final problem with buying a good Bat'Leth? At least half the items out there don't actually look like the real thing much at all, currently eBay has 6 Bat'Leths listed and none of them make the cut for me.

Yeah, it looks like we are in the same boat. After reading this thred and replying, I called the manager tat got the Bat'Leth, and even he dosen;t know where it came from. He said he has a budy that "find the impossible". I can't wait to get that photo for you guys, it is unbelieviable. i'm so envious, as much of a huge Trekkie that I am, it should have come to me. But yes Hantai, we're in the same board unfortunaly. Eventually i'll have the money to spend on such things, but fear i'll never find them.

I personally like the early DS9/Voyager uniforms. The colored shoulders make department identification quick and easy. Also they show off the feminine curves, and look great on males too. The jumpsuit style is useful and stylish. Although the late DS9 uniforms are very stylish as well, the shoulders look just a little too bulky with the padding, and for someone with broad shoulders like mine, it is a little weird. The WOK uniforms are nice, but look more like a formal. Although, all the different colors are confusing, and some don't compliment red all that well. I have to say the Nemesis Formal is extremly stylish, and my favorite formal.
All in all, I'd still go with the early DS9/Voyager Uniform.

I like third through seventh season TNG, and then first through mid-fifth season DS9/all of Voyager.
I also like the ones from future Starfleet in All Good Things...., The Visitor, and Endgame.

I like the ones during most of the Star Trek Next Generation the best, even though the ones in late DS9 were pretty cool also.

Why don't you tell us?! And stop being a lame spammer. If you're going to spam, have intelligent spam.......................... Which, by the way, that stuff you posted up there was not.
I don't know, those gray uniforms looked weird to me.

I have to say that the rides are awesome! I did go to the Store and did see the uniforms up for sale.
