something i always wondered, the com badge doubles as a universal translator right? which translates various languages into english for the crew, but how come every now and then when B'Elanna speaks klingon it isnt translated?
Also why did they have to finish voyager in such a gay way?

I have often wondered that but perhaps it can't be translated that maybe why Klingons are told to be speak their language.
I thought the way Voyager ended was excellent.

nah i dont like it when they do those time travel episodes, so janeway got her crew home early now,so there is now no need (in janeways future) to go back and get her crew home again, meaning that she never actually went back so the crew are still only half way home in my opinion, unless at the same time as she did before janeway is still gonna go back and do what she done, that is assuming she doesn't get ran over by a bus or die another death she would have avoided first time round by being on voyager all the time.

Look through this forum. There is a great thread that I believe Chris points that Janeway changed one of millions of timelines.

but, the young janeway will not need to go back because shes is already home? the old janeway would simply seace to exist after the timeline changes.
4D thinking gives me a headache.

4D thinking isn't the way it really is, you actually have to think in 11 dimensions. (Do I just ruin your whole perception of the universe) The voyager finale was a little awkward, but if you know enough about time travel, it makes sense, in some creepy, contorted way. But, voyager does play with time travel too much.

Gets in my 1985 Deloreon, gets it moving 88 miles per hour and *BLAM* I go warn the crew of the Voyager to stay away from wormholes. HMMMM I just cancelled a whole Trek series didn't I ?

Voyager was sucked up by the Caretaker, not by a wormhole.

And even if it was sucked up by a wormhole, you would have cancled a whole Trek series in another timeline, not this one.

And besides, Paramount started installing Universal Translators in out TVs. The Star Trek series' somehow control when it works or not, so that we can either understand it, or we can't.

I have a question. If the combadge is also a universal translater then how do the crew communicate with diffferent species without them? In the episode "The Jem' Hadar" The commander quark and the Vorta were able to communicate with their Jem' Hadar guards.

It isn't always the com badge. In the Little Green Men episode, you see that the ferengi at least have it embedded in their ear. Remember the scene where Quark and Rom are hitting their ear trying to fix it, and get the whole group of officers and generals to mimic them?
