Anybody remember this one? Sisko, overcome by the stress of the war, becomes unconscious, and has a vision in which he is a science fiction writer in the 1950's. I just watched it recently, and what thrill it was to see the characters out of make-up and uniform. Although the main characters are pretty obvious (Worf, OD and even Quark are rather distinctive), the side characters are really hard to pick out.
This is a really nice showcase of everyone's acting talents...even Micheal Dorn seems like a good actor (after seeing what Andreas Katsulas, Peter Jurasik and even Bill Mumy were able to accomplish around the same time, Worf just doesn't cut it for me anymore)

I've only seen this episode once, and this has been several years ago, but I do remember the episode you're talking about. I thought it was pretty good, although admittedly I don't remember too much of it. I remember Sisko trying to write his science fiction book on the walls of a mental institution if I'm not mistaken. I didn't notice Quark out of make up at first, until he spoke, then knew right away it was him. He has one of those distinct voices I'd recognize anywhere.

I liked this episode alot. It was funny how the actors looked out of costume. Especially martok as the picture seller. My favorite part was when Gul Dukat and Weyoun played those agents; I think it suited them very well.
No that part is another episode. I think it was in the beginning of the 7th season.

Martok was the hardest one to figure out...I was convinced it was Morn until I heard Martok's voice in another episode. Weyoun was another hard one (I thought it was Danar), but they showed a flash of them in makup when they were beating Benny.

Weyoun (Jeffrey Combs) is another whose voice is distinctive and stands out. No matter what role he's playing (he's had several recurring roles in the Trek series) I know it's him by the sound of his voice.

Wow... I recognized everyone right away, but I'm not sure if I watched it at the time it first aired. I hadn't considerd the episode was just Sisko buggin out, more like the Prophets sending him "distractions" if you will. Like a test of will or something like that.
I really didn't like Dorn without the Worf makeup though, I know it's just me but one becomes acustomed after a while.

Damar appears in the episode part that xkamelx talked about. He was in the mental institute that sisko was writing on the walls.

I watched the special features on one of the seasons and I was so surprised to how many times he had guest starred on DS9. He played the ferengi Brunt. He also guest starrs in a voyager episode. "Tsunkatse" the episode where seven is forced to fight. He plays hank.

He was also Shran the Andorian commander in Enterprise, Krem the Ferengi in Enterprise, Mulcahey & Tiron on DS9, and Penk on Voyager. Probably more that I can't think of. I think he holds the record for the guest star who has played so many different Trek characters.

You'll see his name as one of the guest stars...
