I had to go with Vger from The Motion Picture. I might change my mind if I saw the movie again, but most likely not. The impression it made on me when I saw the movie in the theater as a third grader is still very strong...

In it's time; V'Ger was one mysterious entity which in it;s own right was creepy, a lot to do with the mystery aspect of it.

Now that you have them all listed, it's hard to choose the best. They're all good in their own right, but should the probe be on the list? I mean, it was just there wondering where all the whales went, basically. My toss-up goes to Khan and Sybock. Khan had that intellect, super-human strength, was fueled by hatred and revenge. And it didn't hurt that he'd already had a run-in with Kirk's crew before. It really helped quicken the plot. Sybock - here we have Spock's half-brother, who was more human than an actual human. I liked that contrast, even though the whole of ST 5 was bad, in my opinion. And now it comes to me, I don't think he was an actual "villan" in the sense that his intentions weren't malicious. He really though he was on a spiritual mission to find God. ------------------------------------------------- On a side note, afer all these years I STILL don't know who VGer really is. All we know is he was an entity, that's it.

I have to go with Soron. He was a gneiss, but as say there is a fine line between brilliance and insanity. I do no think he achieved the brilliance gift w/out also achieving insanity.
Overall I didn't him to be a compels character.

My vote goes to Shinzon.
I like how Picard tried to make him realise he was still human and can become a better person. He says he can't fight what he is and he thought of himself more as a Remun. He called the Remuns his brothers and fought for their causes.
There was a lot said between Picard and Data discussing whether if they had lived their counterparts lives would they be the same.
It was great that he had a few causes that he wanted to complete. One being getting Picard's DNA. Second destroying his home planet Earth.

I voted for V'Ger. I felt that what makes V'Ger the best movie villain is the fact that Humanity mistakenly lent a hand in the creation of a species that has an agenda to utterly destroy/assimilate the Human race, thus we might have aided in our own destruction through the Voyager Probe being lost in a black hole.

Khan of course! The genetically superiror intellect teamed with the insanity and the desire for revenge just makes him one of the most challenging villains of all time. Khan is just very vindictive and has the intelligence to back it up and i think it makes him the most complete out of all of them... and Myke, IMO Khan tales the care, witj Kirk and crew. That alone makes him ex remelt dangerous,Shinzon nit bar behind, other entire re oure evuk abed birth ace an arbitrate o=Pluto to destroy their enemies, You wanna translate that to english?
