If the Cylons managed to reach the Federation - would they be defeated or would they adapt like the Borg?

I think the cylons would be toast, the weapons and technology of the federation is just so much more advanced than anything in the Battlestar Galactica universe, adaptability or not I just don't see any comparison.

I have to agree with Wolf. The Colonial Fleet in BSG are almost a defenseless fleet, with one war ship and a handful of individual fighter ships (the Vipers) and the Cylons, despite their best attempts, have been unable to exterminate the human fleet.
They would have no chance, the Federation would destroy them with ease.

If the federation don't get them, one of the other factions in the alpha quadrant will. Cylons are gonna die.

Call me wierd, but I think it would be interesting seeing Cylons infiltrate Starfleet command... kind of... *is not a BSG fan*
But a thought just came to me: Cylons being assimilated by the Borg... how would that work?

The Borg can assimilate technology as well as biological beings. I'm sure The Borg could turn the human models into drones, as they are basically bio-mechanical beings, not unlike the drones to begin with.
And I'm sure The Borg could assimilate the centurions the same way the assimilate any other technology. I'm not sure what they would do with them, probably use them for spare parts and only assimilate them for the knowledge.

I highly doubt that Cylons could infiltrate Starfleet as the scanning technology of Star Trek is far too advanced for the cylons to circumvent and just one normal medical scan would show them as being mechanical beings and not human.

I do agree that Starfleet technology is far more advanced than Cylon technology, despite their technological leap. Putting weapons aside, Starfleet vessels are greatly faster than anything the Cylons have.

Putting weapons aside, Starfleet vessels are greatly faster than anything the Cylons have. Weapons too, you have to remember that the Cylons primary weapon are nuke warheads, something that Starfleet surpassed long ago with warp capable matter anti matter warheads.
