I preffered 7 0f 9, more character depth. Alright Kes only had so many years to live but all she did really was mooch around Voyager or Nelix. Unfortunetly i really didn't find Kes that intersting, unlike 7 of 9, de-borging, her relationship with The Doctor, her Mannerism etc. There was alot to her.

I always though Kez has a very aurora of mystery surrounding her. I was big fan of hers, and think her character development was superb, especially found the latter seasons.
However, Seven brought a lot to the table. The whole concept of her not only being Janeway's protege, so to speak, Seven was involved in many great episodes that revolved around her.

7 of 9 I'd say. Personally I prefer her character, it's more interesting and more well developed in my opinion.

I prefer Seven of nine. I dislike Kes, well I don't dislike I just find her really boring. She never really did anything that amazed me.
On the other hand Seven of nine was a great character. It was interesting to see her through the series developing into a normal human being again. She actually had a meaningful job, Kes just seemed to grow some plants. Seven of nine participated in some great episodes especially the Borg ones.

Kes' role was very shallow and she always seemed a victim, always ready to be sad.

I always thought Kes was the cuter one, and not to mention the awesome mental powers she developed when they wrote her off the series, she could do nearly anything with them

Have to agree with the majority here and say 7 of 9, she was a much better character with a much meatier story around her, Kes was far too wishy washy plus anyone who could find Neelix attractive needed to be booted off the ship lol, besides my father said 7 of 9 was a darn hot looking woman...lol men!

I think that Kes had the potential to be more interesting. With the latent and later prominent psychic powers

Meh, I hated Kes. I have to go with Seven of Nine. For one she actually had a part, two I found her to be the more perdyful of the two.
