What if the Ori encountered Q - or vice versa - would the Ori choose to ignore him or try to destroy him? Would Q be able to make them just disappear as and when he chooses? Perhaps even throw their entire fleet to the other end of the universe? If the Ori get that kind of treatment end up worshipping Q as a god? (The Enterprise's first encounter with the Borg was because of Q)

Q could easily take out all of the Ori's followers (the Priors and soldiers). But the Ori themselves? I don't know. We've never seen what the Ori are truly capable of doing, since the Ancients don't allow ascended being to directly interfere with anything. So it's hard to say who would be more powerful, the Ori or Q.

If you go strictly by what you see on TV Q would easily be able to do what he wanted to with them. The Ori still depended on technology for their abilities despite just how advanced they were, they were far from omnipotent which the Q seemed to be.

The Ori still depended on technology for their abilities despite just how advanced they were, they were far from omnipotent which the Q seemed to be. You are confusing the Ori with the Priors. The Priors are just humans that the Ori are using to accomplish their goals. The Ori themselves are ascended beings, evolved far beyond the need for any kind of technology. They are just as powerful as the "good" ascended beings. They just don't directly use their great power on our plane of existence because they know that the "good" ascended beings don't allow direct interference.

The Ori need they're followers to have power, without them they aren't as powerful so Q would win.

Yea, I am thinking of the priors now that you mention it. Hmmmm.....well, still, considering then that the Ori really aren't allowed to directly interfere with normal life then I still say until it's proven otherwise the Q should have the upperhand.

It is not clear - whether Q is an ascended being or not - he manipulates space and time, can travel through the vast distances of the universe and make others do that, even send them back and foth in time. Q belongs to the 'Q Continuum' - where Q and others of his kind hang out - Captain Janeway was taken there. Whatever that place was, it was interpretation so she could figure out where she is. What would Ori 'ascended' beings make of the Q Continuum, would they choose to destroy it if they could?

I think one thing to remember is that the Ori have never really shown their power, the Q have (happily so) dancing around in the creation of the universe. I would wonder if they are on the same level in terms of power? In much the same way the ancients are, and the only difference is the Q don't mind tampering in the affairs of others.
