Ooh, I love Jurassic Park! One of my top ten favorite movies.
Lost World: Jurassic Park left something to be desired. I think it's the worst of the three. The whole 'going to San Diego' part at the end.. I thought it was unnecessary and over-the-top just to get those special effects people excited.
Jurassic Park III was pretty okay. I did like that they went back to the original island and it somewhat recaptured a little of the magic from the first movie. But there's a reason Steven Spielberg let his flunky Joe Johnston direct it, lol.
Jurassic Park IV I think, right now, will be a total waste of time. At least the first two movies were based off of books. These last two are basically just the studio's way of trying to make a few million bucks.

I haven't seen it in a few years now, but always thought they were re-visiting the island from part 2? All I know about 4 is Spielberg is having a lot of input on it, and is determined to make it one of the best of the series, even if isn't directing it.

In the first movie the Island was called Isla Nublar. In the second and third film the Island is called Isla Sorna. I dislike Lost World for some reason. It's probabaly to do with Sam Neill. I'm looking forward to Jurassic Park IV.

I must have confused myself, lol..
I knew it was Nublar in the first and Sorna in the second. I thought they had gone back to the Nublar, but I was mistaken. (Maybe because in JP the book, it has an aviary on the original island Nublar).
Oh well.
I haven't see it for a while.
While skeptical, I am looking forward to IV, just because I love the series so much.
I just hope they dont' pull a Lost World and bring all the dinos to the States.

I loved the first movie, wasn't that impressed with the rest. Why do they feel the need to resurrect this movie series,

Because they're shameless moneymakers.... Exactly. The first one is a classic and is a class apart from the sequels. I read The Lost World 'junior novelization' (read: book with simple words and big pictures in) when I was younger and I remember quite enjoying it. The film, though, is pretty awful to be honest. It's worrying that sequels/remakes of classic films in the past are invariably rubbish. From the sacred Star Wars to the new Disney sequels (discussed in that topic from somewhere, whatever), the newer films are just not as good. The big budgets have clearly manifested themselves into big egos in the film industry...

Uh-uh-uh, you didn't say the magic word! ;D i cant believe thats samuel l. jackson (guy at the computer not the little dude on the screen ). he was so unknown when that movie was made! no wonder he got munched and all that remained was his arm and wristwatch... Jurrasic park 4?!?!? man... 3 was pretty awful i thought.... not because it didnt live up to the awesomeness of the first one, but i just didnt like it anyway.

I had no idea who he was when I first saw Jurassic Park. Samuel L Jackson's big break came in 1994 with Pulp Fiction. That movie made him a superstar, and it didn't hurt none at all that he also was in Jurassic Park, the biggest movie of the year (alongside Forest Gump probably) 1994 was definitely Mr Jackson's year, Pulp Fiction and Jurassic Park ='s megastar.

I really enjoyed this film. This is the best out of the trilogy. The first time I saw this I went to the cinemas and I was four. I was so scared I was hiding behind the seat in front and had my eyes covered. Watching it now I'm fine. I think the beginning is quite good as it explains how he actually created the dinosaurs. This part interests me as I wonder if it will actually be possible to clone dinosaurs and breed them. It was quite sad the theme park didn't work for John Hammond. Although he bread deadly animals he's a very likable character. He seemed to have opened Jurassic Park to give people an experience rather than being a money maker. "...But with this place, I - - I wanted to give them something real, something that wasn't an illusion, something they could see and touch..." I can't quite remember much of Lost World. The third one was quite disappointing too. It was also quite short with the running time being around 90 minutes.

Yeah, I really liked the character of Mr. Hammond and that's one part that I like better in the film over the book.
In the book Hammond dies.
I'm glad that part was changed.
