OK...who all remembers Thundercats....and more importantly who loved Thundercats....I know I did....I thought they were so cool...they all looked amazing....had awesome weapons and powers....and one of the all time best villians in anime IMO has to be Mumm-Ra. Mumm-Ra was just an amazing bad ass. and who can forget the Sword of Omens and the infamous"Thunder....Thunder....Thunder....Thundercats HOOOOOO!!!" chant which would activate their special powers and the eye of thundera would send a beacon into the sky and all the thundercats would come rushing to the rescue. good old snarf....the elderly nanny for Lion-o who was always woryying about Lion-o...and complaining about Wiley Kit and Kat....I could go on and on forever about the show....but I will hold off for now and see who has something to say about the show now.

THUNDERCATS..........HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
God, I loved this show! I loved this show more than Transformers! You need to run to your local comic book shop and pick up all the Thundercats comics you find! Some of them take place after the end of the cartoon series! They are incredibly well drawn and well written as well.
Remember the last episode of the cartoon where Mumm-Ra was "defeated" and Lion-O went into the Book of Omens to train because "time flowed differently there?" Well, Mumm-Ra put a curse on the book. Instead of being gone for a week real time, while having trained for 5 years in the book, Mumm-Ra's curse made time flow normally. Lion-O had really been gone for 5 years. Mumm-Ra had taken over. The Thundercats were imprisoned, and no one thought Lion-O would ever return.
This series is probably for all us grown-ups who remember the Thundercats from when we were kids. In the first couple issues of this limited series, you find Panthro enslaved in the mines, WilyKat and WilyKit all grown up and WilyKit is scantily clad and fully developed, as she has become Mumm-Ra's Concubine. Cheetara is apparantly raped and beaten on a regular basis by Vulture-Man, Slythe, and Monkian. I don't recall what happened to Tigra....probably went invisible and hid somewhere. And poor old Snarf went nuts because he was constantly hiding from Mumm-Ra's scouts (The Cat's Lair was long destroyed) and by himself protecting the Book of Omens should Lion-O ever decide to return. He actually carried on conversations with the book.......he really lost it.
I say run to the comic shops. There were about 4 different limited series that came out last year. Hopefully they haven't gone through the roof in value. They are a really good read as well. Check it out if you still love the Thundercats!!!

Wow....I had not a single clue they had comics about the thundercats after the series.....and yes they sounds more like graphic novels because they definitely have some adult themes going on in there....I might have to go check that out.

"Thunder....Thunder....Thunder....Thundercats HOOOOOO!!!" LOL I was just going to say: Thunder... Thunder... Thundercats... are GOOOOOO !!! bwahahahaha but of course, that´s "Thunderbirds". And I love those too (have all the vids) but I guess they have no business being here? LOL And yes, I do remember Thundercats and loved it - but I probably only know about them because my son loved watching them. ;D Clever cartoon, they had something for everyone so that adults could relate to Tygra, Lion-O, Cheetara and the other "grown-up" characters and the children could see themselves in Wiley Kit and Wiley Kat. ;D

It just arrived in the mail all the way from Hong Kong!
My very own Thundercats Symbol Neon Backlit light!
I managed to snag it on E-Bay for a PENNY! The shipping and handling from Hong Kong was $24.99, but it was well worth it! The Thundercats Symbol now glows on my wall in red neon!

Well, I think it looks pretty cool, except for the fact it doesn't have a switch. It only has an ugly power cord coming out of the side of it. But what can you expect for the deal I got? The symbol is quite faithfully recreated though. I'll take a pic of it and post it tonight maybe. Every room in the house has at least one window and it looks better in total darkness.
