Anyone heard of or read any of Alan Dean Foster's books... he writes some off the wall Sci-Fi stuff..lol. I read a book, titled 'Quazol' or something close to that spelling, when I was in highschool... it was both crazy, funny, and serious all at the same time.
The ET's in the book were tall thin rabit like creatures who had a rough and war like past. They came to earth and found it to be inhabited and well you can guess from there how it went. lol..its a fun read if you just wanna lounge and have some light reading. ..lol.

Not sure if it is the same person but I've read one book by Alan Dean Foster caled The Approaching Storm. It is to do with Star Wars and acts as a prologue to Episode 2.

There was one or two bits that I recall are quite funny. The main one being when Anakin, Baris, Obi Wan and Luminara go swimming in nothing but their underwear!

No doubt due to my wierd sense of humour that to me was funny. But in all Approaching Storm is a good funny book.

All I've ever read of his books were movie novelizations. One day, I plan to tiptoe over to his original novels.

He novelized the Star Trek Animated Series (TAS). They're called "Star Trek Log 1" through "Star Trek Log 10". Since TAS hasn't ever been released on video or DVD the books are your only chance to find out about the characters and plots of TAS. There were some GOOD ones!
