I don't know if this has been asked before, but here goes ....
While watching an episode of Voyager on the weekend, the ship was disrupted by an anomoly(sp?) in which it effectively fractured into several different time periods. The Past, present and future among them. Chekotay(sp?) was in the present and joined with Janeway from the past and they solved the problem, but it pondered plenty of questions along the way and one I couldn't get past. It was revealed the Janeway in the not too distant future is dead, although I don't think this was revealed to her personally.
My question : If you knew someone you loved was going to die in the future and you had the means to change it ... would you ??

Of course i would........unless you knew if by doing that you would horribly alter time in some major catastrphic way.....and then I think you would have to let things happen as they should....otherwise hell yes i would save them.

Damn good Voyager episode, that's why I love Voyager so much!! And for your question, yes, I certainly would. If I was able to have one power, it would be to minipulate time, and travel within it. I would save my loved one, and worry about the consequences later. The way I see it, it would be a risk, sure, but a life without risk is like no life at all.
