Ok...don;t tell me no one remembers Battle of the Planets...?? With the g-force.....and their ship called the phoenix. They all wore the bird influenced outfits and had weapons like the sonic boomerang and such....omg ...they were like the best superheroes of the time. Here is a good link to read up about the history of the show... G-Force

Dude, I can't believe no one knew Battle of the Planets?! WHERE WERE YOU GUYS?!?!?!??!
I guess I know them more from comic books than the actual cartoon though, so maybe being a comic book fan these days is considered cheating. Run to your local comic shop and pick up all the new BotP comics you find. They are increasing in value like nobody's business.
They recently (In the world of Comic Books) did a Superman/Thundercats Crossover, as well as a Thundercats/Battle of the Planets Crossover. Both were pretty good.
He-Man has also made a big comeback in the realm of comics. It's not just for kids anymore. He-Man almost killed Evil-Lynn in a recent issue and he (and Adam) are having serious doubts about the powers and abilities they posess. He-Man is about to grow up in the comic book format. Check it out at your first opportunity. It's worth it.

One more thing....Wolf, I noticed you remembered the Silverhawks. YOU ARE THE ONLY OTHER PERSON ON THE PLANET WHO REMEMBERS THEM!!!!!! I have talked myself blue in the face about the Silverhawks to all my childhood friends, and they just can't seem to remember. I liked Silverhawks more than Thundercats to be honest with you, and that says a lot! I just can't believe that anyone could forget a show that great! Sure, it was a sci-fi Thundercats clone, but it was still awesome. "The Might, The Muscle, The Menace......OF MON-STARR!!!!!!!!!!"
I can't believe we're the only ones who remember!! I still have the Mon-Starr toy and the Leader guy of the Silverhawks. Even though I've forgotten his name!! *Speed covers his face in shame*

Silver who? LOL Well, you must forgive others. Most members on any board are not old enough to remember anything much that happened before the nineties. ;D

LOL...I know...it's such a shame. I don;t remember a lot about the Silverhawks because it's been so long.....but I definitely remember the show existing. BOP is old...1978....so I can understand why some of the younger people wouldn't recognize it....but it is definitely one of the better sci-fi anime's to come along in a long long time. I also heard that He-Man was starting to make a comeback....I have also heard GI Joe could be making a comeback in animation....seems like a lot of the older cartoons are being rerun. Now if they would only release the original Dungeons & Dragons animated series on dvd.....I have some "copies" of the episodes on puter but would love to have the original quality video that comes with them. they might never release those on dvd though. a shame.

Last year, at least in the comic book format, Thundercats, He-Man, GI Joe, and Transformers made a huge comeback. Even The Ninja Turtles got in on it. A Battle of the Planets Series was released too. I just wish they'd return Thundercats to television. Maybe revamp the series like they did for He-Man. That would be great.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing some live action versions of some of these series. I think they could do an awesome Voltron live action movie....with the CGI effects they have nowadays they could do the space battles with voltron really great. a live action Thundercats would be awesome too. after seeing the special effects and stuff they did with hellboy I think they could do some hellacious makeup jobs with the thundercats and the mutants and mumm-ra.....look what they did with xmen....great live action crossover!

Honestly, I read a rumor somewhere on the 'Net a few months ago that New Line Cinema had recently gotten the rights to produce a live-action Thundercats movie. This is something I will have to investigate further....Hmmmm.....
