2. The Main Star's Grandfather dies
3. Is in love with a girl from school
4. Has to save her from his arch enimy, who happens to be his best friends dad

The answer is Spider Man. Being that I have been reading Spidey comics for about 15 years, I just thought I should let you in on a bit of a correction. Peter's relative who died was his Uncle. Not his grandfather. Peter's parents died when he was a baby and his kind and loving Aunt May and Uncle Ben took him in. When Peter realized that the man who killed his Uncle was also the same criminal he could've stopped only a short time before, he learned one of Stan Lee's greatest morals. "With great power, comes great resposibility."
Now...on to my 5 clues.
1. 1988 (Year of release) 2. Neo-Tokyo 3. Motorcyle Gangs (really cool motorcycles, too!) 4. Bizarre Psychic abilities 5. Put Anime on the map in the United States
Give it a shot! I know some of you have to have seen it. I'll check back periodically to see if anyone's answered. If no reply in 2 days, I'll post the answer and do a new one.

Hey, that Spider man message above was me. I guess my log in time expired and when it asked me for "NAME:" I assumed it meant the name of my post in addition to the subject line. Sorry for any confusion.

The answer to my above list of clues is
AKIRA!!!! If you haven't seen it you should check it out. It's classic anime with a really bizarre sci-fi storyline set in Neo-Tokyo in the future. I know I said I was going to post a new set of clues, but it's Christmas Eve and I'm running out of time to wrap things so I'll do it either tomorrow or the next day.
Merry Christmas To All!!!!!

Here's a new set of clues!! Finally! Sorry I was away so long.
This is one of my all time favorite sci-fi films. I guess it's not 100% sci-fi, but it still rules. Here are some clues.
1. New Year's Eve 1999 2. Futuristic Video-Memory Drug Trade 3. Juliette Lewis...MAN WHAT A HOTTIE!!!!
I'll give you till Thursday the 12th to figure it out. If you figure it out correctly, it's your turn to post 3 new clues and give us a deadline. Looking forward to some guesses and hopefully the right answer. Happy Hunting!!!

What is Waterworld? Okay Alex, I'll take Box Office Bombs for 400.
Speaking of movies that didn't do so well at the box office, my next 5 clues involve just such a movie. BTW, this movie is not sci-fi related, but it is one of my all time faves.
1. Jason Biggs, Amanda Peet, and Jack Black star. 2. Racoon on a dude's head. 3. NEIL DIAMOND!!!!!!! 4. Friends try to reunite dude with his old love. 5. "Coach is gay?"
Maybe this one's too obscure, but give it a shot. See you in a couple of days.

It's gotta be the one and only Dark Knight Detective: Batman. Otherwise known as millionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne. I think Micheal Keaton did a fantastic job in the first two movies. It really sucks that there's absolutely no continuity for the Batman movie franchise. The first two went together really well and after that they were crap. They need Tim Burton and Mr. Keaton to come take back what they started.
Sorry to ramble, I don't really have a lot of time right now so I'm gonna post new clues later tonight. Maybe really late so you guys can check 'em out tomorrow AM.
Later, Speed

Here are the next 5 clues:
1. A long history of defending against evil.
2. The future of Earth, and probably the entire universe, hangs in the balance.
3. An evil race attempts to destroy the only defense against Earth's main threat.
4. A seemingly unlikely savior falls into the hands of a New York City cab driver.
5. The heroes struggle to obtain the keys to activating the weapon to save Earth before time runs out.
That's all for now. I'll check back in a couple of days!!
