and it made me laugh. Do not read if you don't like profanity
Dear Santa,
You must be surprised that I'm writing to you today, the 26th of December. Well, I would very much like to clear up certain things that have occurred since the beginning of the month, when, filled with illusion, I wrote you my letter. I asked for a bicycle, an electric train set, a pair of roller blades, and a football uniform.
I destroyed my brain studying the whole year. Not only was I the first in my class, but I had the best grades in the whole school. I'm not going to lie to you, there was no one in my entire neighborhood that behaved better than me, with my parents, my brothers, my friends, and with my neighbors. I would go on errands, and even help the elderly cross the street. There was virtually nothing within reach that I would not do for humanity.
What balls do you have leaving me a fucking yo-yo, a stupid whistle and a pair of socks. What the fuck were you thinking, you fat son of a bitch, that you've taken me for a sucker the whole fucking year to come out with some shit like this under the tree. As if you hadn't fucked me enough, you gave that little faggot across the street so many toys that he can't even walk into his house.
Please don't let me see you trying to fit your big fat ass down my chimney next year. I'll fuck you up. I'll throw rocks at those stupid reindeer and scare them away so you'll have to walk back to the fucking North Pole, just like what I have to do now since you didn't get me that fucking bike. FUCK YOU SANTA. Next year you'll find out how bad I can be, you FAT-SON-OF-A-BITCH.
Sincerely, Little Johnny

Is it me, or is it amazing the things we tell our kids? Like Santa Claus...He "sees you when you're sleeping" and "knows when you're awake"...I have an uncle serving 20 years up in County for the exact same thing! Except when he did it, they called it stalking...
;D...

LOL Joe.
There is outrage at one school in Florida because a first grade teacher told first grade students that Santa was fake. It wasn't on purpose they were discussing what was real and not and kids got curious and asked.
I don't blame the teacher, because we always teach the kids not to lie, so what kind of example are teachers setting if they lie to kids about Santa Clause if they ask?
I knew Santa was fake in first grade, and so did my sister, and all my friends, none of us really believed in anything past 2nd grade because we knew it was BS. Incidentally, we all asked our parents to answer the question, and they never lied about it either. To this day my mom still has no regrets about telling us the truth because she really taught me the value of the truth that day.
Matt my 7 yr old knows that there is no such thing as Santa, and the Easter Bunny( he asked me), but he doesn't let Ryan my 5 yr old know, or Tim my 3 yr old know. Ryan I believe knows but he doesn't want to come out and say so either though, because he is afraid he won't get any gifts this year if he says so. But if he were to ask me, I would tell him the truth though.

My 5 year old daughter beleives, and I'm glad she does, as Santa to her is what science fiction is to me, a dream, an escape. Her believing in Santa makes life more magical for her.
I think, as a girl, it will take her longer to finally ASK the question, as little girls live in dream worlds as where little boys live in the real world and asks the WHY's of life. Perhaps thats why they take things apart to see how they work while the girl is having a tea party, with imginary friends and stuffed toys, not at all questioning what a Tea Party really is.

Well the thing is, I do know some 10 yr olds that still believe in Santa Clause. To me that is sorta dumb to have the parents lead it on, but also kinda cool that he believes. I would never let my kids believe in something like that at 10-11 yrs of age, because the ridicoule and stuff they would encounter if it got found out would hurt them more than telling them the truth. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that Tim still believes and Ryan pretends to believe, but I also don't blame Matt for finding out the truth either though. It just shows that he is curious about the world. He isn't afraid to ask questions. The only question I am dreading him asking is the sex question, which at the rate he is growing, will be in about 2 years He already knows where babies come from, but he doesn;'t know how babies are created, and I want to keep it that way for as long as possible.

My brother "figured it out" when he was 9...It's funny though, we still joke around that there IS a Santa to him, and he insists there isn't (he's 11 now so yeah, he knows) but we keep insisting there is...We're all pretty much sarcastic in my family...fun stuff...;D

Well you can do that Myke as you have a daughter, I have 3 boys so there is no way I'm letting mom handle the sex talk This year I'm going to play a cruel joke on Matt, since he been acting up lately since mom left with Tim, leaving me with Ryan and Matt, Im going to have a gift of coal left under the tree for him as the only gift. I think thats gonna go over great. Yes I had that done to me as a kid also, its almost a family tradition to do it in my family as every one has had it done to them at one time or another(usually when they are over 6 though)

My mom NEVER told me there was a such thing as Santa Clause and I'm glad. I won't tell MY kids that there is either. For 1. you're giving some made up dude credit for all the presents, 2. He's not real. Why does everyone lie to their kids? It is a lie. A cruel one I think. lol So, what? When they are 8 or 9 they find out the truth and wonder why you are such a liar? I don't want my kids to think that about me. lol Sorry if I offended anyone. lol I think my mom did a good job of making me biased where this issue is concerned. I am curious though, for those of you that do have kids... why is everyone so into telling their kids that there is a Santa? Maybe you can change my mind.

I just do it because my daughter has her whole life ahead of her to worry about facts and truths, I'll let her believe in fantasy while she's young enough still to experience magic. They are only young enough to believe in a fantasy word once and it be ok. If we still believed in fantasy worlds, we'd likely get locked up in the insane asylum

True, I'm not worried about the credit either, as most of the time a few days after you buy your kid something nice, they forget all about it and want something else, lol.
