Well, I'm currently reading 'The Lord of the Rings' by J.R.R. Tolkien, so are you reading anything at the moment?

I think the last real book I've read was A Scanner Darkly. It was nice, yet very confusing, mostly since reading it in english

I wouldn't exactly say they are good, but I just finished Before the Dawn by Max Allen Collins and have started on Skin Game. They are supposed to wrap up the Dark Angel series from about five years ago. But I have to admit, they are painful to read...poorly written in general, and the excessive slang was bad enough on the TV show...in print, it is dreadfull!

Actually, Virgil gets a rest for a while.
I'm on Hunters of Dune by Kevin J Anderson and Brian Herbert.

Ok seriously, I don't read many books for a few reasons: 1. Oddly reminds me of school. I've always had much hate for school and anything remotely resembling it. Having said that, I only own one book series. It's vampire fiction. 2. I get way too emotionally involved in the stories I read. Expecially if it was some whacked ending that leaves the door WIDE open. Nothing irritates me more. I doubt the purpose of authors doing their thing is to give me high blood pressure. 3. I'd have to buy them becuase I can't stand our public library. Again, back to school. And things cost more money than their worth. LOTR is on my "will read one day" when I get arond to it. Must make a few exceptions.

I haven't stepped into a public library in.... *looks at permit* two years. I found a nice book store which offers 20% discounts on books and I buy my books there, plus I always visit book expositions, which offer discounts too What I've read lately (this summer): Dracula- Bram Stocker - I've read it in English after having read it in romanian some years ago. 1984 - George Orwell - it's a good book, really interesting, I like these conspiracy things and I like how much of a visionary Orwell proved to be when writing that book. Breakfast at Tiffany's - Truman Capote - it was a fairly odd book, not too much of my liking, I only bought it because it was so famous and wanted to know what it was all about. Pet Sematary - Stephen King - one of the best books I've read in a while. In fact I'm not sure if I've ever read a book that kept me in such a tension before. I'm certainly planning to read more of King's work.
