Sins of a Solar EmpireExert from site: "In Sins of a Solar Empire, you are the leader of a civilization embroiled in a galactic war, fighting for the survival of your entire race against relentless foes. Your success will depend entirely on your ability to manage your empire and command your vast fleets of starships to victory. Sins of a Solar Empire is a "RT4X" game, blending the epic strategy and empire management of the 4x genre with the fast-paced and tactical elements of a real-time strategy title." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a recently released space strategy game. I hadn't heard of it until I saw it on the store shelf. I couldn't resist purchasing it. It turned out to be a good investment. In Sins of a Solar Empire, you start out with a single planet which you must develop and make use of the resources first available to build ships to take more planets in order to defeat your rivals sharing your star or stars, depending of the scale of the game you are playing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Screenshots: Link

There is no doubt that the game has great depth, but the pace is terribly slow (even with fast research and fast gameplay). Most of the time I'm just sitting and waiting for my ships to move through jumplanes.
