Friday - June 4, 2004 - New buttons were added as board tools. Reply, Notify, Marked As Read, Print, Quote, ect. Saturday - June 5, 2004 - Two new custom codes have been added. One code creates a roll over effect on hyperlinks, the other code is to change the word 'guest' into 'ghost' in the 'Users Online' statistics on the bottom of the main page. I thought it was fitting to call guests Ghosts, as that's pretty much what they are.

At this point, all I can do is mess with the code. I have the value of 'Guest' to equal 'Ghost', but it's comming out in plural form. I may make another value of 'Guest s' to equal 'Ghosts' but I'm not sure if it will read correctly, just a guess.

does it really matter? Ghosts is better anyways as the term is guests already

If you leave the "s" out, it will come up as singular when only one person visits and plural when there are more than one.

I have tweaked it a little, but currently there are 0 guests on, I'll have to watch it and see if it worked.

It doesn't matter really all you need to do is change the word guest and if it says "13 guests" in the online box the s will stay and it will turn into ghosts. I worried about that for a while too but it's ok

I worried about that for a while too but it's ok That's not the problem. The thing is, it says '1 Ghosts' using 1 as plural, despite the fact I didnt add an 'S'. But like I said, I twaeked the code a bit, and will just have to catch 1 single guest on.

I think its a corny thing that proboards doesnt want tinkered with myself. There are a few things on their servers that you can get rid of, but if you do, then you risk violating TOS.
