I'm not doing this to be mean or obnoxious or anything, but I think the description of the Star Trek board should say : "...Trekkies/Trekkers..." Because, I'm a Trekker, not a Trekkie.................
And I'm doing this as a joke either, I'm serious.

Trekkies are fans of TOS, Trekkers are fans of TNG, DS9, and VGR. I'm not sure which category ENT falls into.

But that doesn't make any sense. Why should fans of one series be called one thing and fans for all the others be called something else?

Because of generational differences.

I'm sorry, that still doesn't make any sence to me, and I've been a fan of Star Trek since the '70 and I don't call myself anything.

For the record, I made the change to the board description several months ago.
