I was wondering about the addition of a Doctor Who board. Yes I am well aware of the failure of the Red Dwarf board, but Doctor Who has more followers, and I'd quite like to see one here. Well this means any Doctor Who discussion doesn't have to be relegated to one thread and plus I think I'd be a nice addition to this forum, a Sci-Fi forum. So, what does everyone else think?

Looking at the list of posters in that thread, there seems to be a lot of people interested in that show. Plus it's an on-going show. I see potential here, but it's obviously Myke's call.

I think there is the potential to make it successful but I think a key ingredient will actually be being able to discuss the older shows as well as the original. I don't know if a whole board can survive only on the current show. Let's see what other opinions we get as well.

Well, I suppose if such a board does get added, a few of us could stir up some classic series discussion to accompany current series discussion. Once we've got a least 6 or so busy topics, then that migh be a sign that such a board is successful.

I think this is a good idea. I think Val would enjoy this as well.
I'd be happy to add it for you guys, but it's going to be a moderator. The moderator;s duty isn;t necessarily to enforce rules, but to be the driving force behind it, to ensure there are new threads to keep peoples interests.
Any volunteers?

I would, seeing as I know quite a lot (and I sometimes think, too much) about Doctor Who. But, if such a board does get added, there'd need to be activity. I'm sure I could help rustle up some, even if the initial process is slow.

Thinker, I've known you on PB Support, and Temporal Reality, so if you're willing to be a mod, I'll mod you because you given me no reason to think you're not a good member. As I said, the job of a mod on TR isn't necessarily to enforce rules (although sometimes they have to) but a mod's job on TR is to drive the board in activity, providing fresh content, and keep the powers coming back. Are you willing to accept this?

Yes, I am willing, after all I have had experience as a moderator on another forum, so I know the mechanics of the job.

Doesn't matter really, afterall, in this current stage it itself wouldn't need any sub-boards, so why not have it as a sub-boards itself? (Make sense?)
