Lol, I find him extremely funny to watch. My favourite character is certainly Yoda, and he always has been, he is surely the coolest Jedi

Hmm, that does make sence, and it brought back a memory. I havent watched ROTJ since around the time Episode I was released. My wife was never a big science fiction fan, and had never seen Star Wars, so the day before it opened, I talked her into sitting down with me and watching all three of the original movies, so she would understand Episode I better. But, it does seem to me like Vader wanted Luke to join him, and the two of them would over throw the Emperor, and rule the galaxy together, but then again Vader tells Luke on endor that he must obey his master. I may be getting something confused here, as if he did want to overthrow Emperor Palpatine, and rule the galaxy with his son, then it would be controdicting that he would tell his son that he must obey his master. .. . At the end of Empire, when Vader tries to have Luke take his hand, that is one of things that he says, that they can rule the galaxy as father and son, and overthrow the Emperor. Now, it's according to which sources you follow after that as to how much validity that holds. Dillson's little factfile might provide more accurate insight. I'm never sure if Star Wars follows the expanded universe or not. In the books, this presents a cause of great concern for the Emperor, who actually goes to have Luke eliminated behind Vader's back, despite Vader's claim it was just a ploy to appeal to Luke's dislike of the Empire and turn him. Even in Jedi, it is readily apparent that there is a bit of a gap between Vader and the Emperor on the subject of Luke, and several instances point to that moment on Bespin as when Vader begins to have questionings about his own allegiance. Again, though, it's questionable on a few areas. One wonders if at first Vader questions his allegiance strictly to the Emperor, or to the dark side. I would say the Emperor.

I would say to the Emperor too, as it seemed like he would want to rule the Galaxy, and the Empire with Luke.
I also do believe Star Wars follows the Expanded Universe, as if you look up character biographies on Star Wars.com, thier bios have alot of details from written stories, as opposed to only events in the movies.
So unlike Star Trek, I believe all Lucas approved Wars books are cannon.

I think the Vader "inner-self" subplot is fascinating. All the time, as the trilogy progresses, we see the fearsome idividual feared across the galaxy begin to waver as he hears more and more about his son. When the Emperor talks to Vader about Luke (either joining or being eliminated) we can see a bit of distress hiding behind the black mask. There was some doubt creeping into his mind. No knew sooner or later that if Luke didn't side with the Emperor, Vader would have to choose between the Emperor or Luke.

Yoda, but I prolly would have not picked him if I hadn't seen the two prequels.

I've just posted something similar about Binks, but I don't mind reiterating my hate for him. The character himself isn't a bad idea. In Star Wars we rarely meet any meaningful characters that are anything more than indigenous life forms. Small species like Jawas and Ewoks are examples (although there is the Ewok cheiftain and the little one that befriends Leia), but obviously Yoda and Chewbacce are two big exceptions. I think you need to look towards either of those two to learn how to avoid making these alien characters annoying and childish. Jar Jar Binks had an annoying lisp. Chewie had a fabulous "roar" and Yoda's crazy word orders are the stuff of legend.

Agreed ^
Jar Jar seemed to 'pop culturist' for my likings, if that makes any sence at all.
