I watched Episode III again earlier this evening, well, yesterday evening now. I noticed something about the music. I knew I always liked the dark scenes of the movie, but noticed the music in some of those scenes. It seems to be all original SW music, composed soley for those scene, as opposed to music used throughout the movie or the trilogies.
Like them or hate them, each scene is a historical moment in the Star Wars history.
So, I was bored, as usual, and decided to make an audio clip of those three scenes, to refresh you guys' memory when I posted this thread.
There are three scenes on this clip, showing the music from three different scenes.
The three scenes are (in order):
For the first scene, the Vader scene, I think that music when he is rising, and the music as he is screaming really sets the feeling for us the pain he is in, the emotional pain mixed with his anger. At this point, he really is Darth Vader, both in appearance and in sole.
The second scene, the Anakin scene, I think the music perfectly represents what that scene is, a tragedy. All hope is lost for Anakin in so many ways. Obi-Wan looses hope that the man laying there is the Anakin he knew, his brother. Anakin has lost all hope of everything, even life it;self.
The third scene is the order 66 scene. The music in this is just so sad, it really makes this scene. It starts off just as the Clone Trooper turn on Obi-Wan and shoots him and his animal off of that ledge. The music begins with the cries of Obi-Wan's beast as it falls to it's death.
Something so small as music in scenes is amazing. I am sure Ar'Tak can appreciate this. I think the music wrote for these scenes really makes them come alive.
Here is the sound wav I have put together of the three scenes. It is 9.14 megabytes, and is 3 minutes 37 seconds long. It may be a little slow downloading for users with slower internet connections, but it shouldn't be too bad.
