There will be a show on Animal Planet tomorrow at 6 pm called "Animal Icons" that talks about the "Animals of Star Wars." (It's actually on right now, but I've missed a good bit of it, so I think I'll watch the whole thing tomorrow.) Looks like it talks about the origins from everything to AT-ATs to Wookiees to Jabba himself in real world terms. Just from what I've caught so far, the accuracy of AT-ATs in the Hoth battle is based on the walking pattern of elephants. Looks to be fairly interesting, I'd like to watch the whole thing. Thought I would pass it along. You can get the times and so forth here... Show Times and Description on Animal Planet website

Oh wow, that is really cool! I am going to be sure to watch that, going to set a reminder for it right now. I hope they do it like we are in the Star Wars universe watching a show about the wildlife. Last month they had 'The Science of Star Wars' on the Discovery Channel, I think, and there were parts of that where they acted as if it was a real show, and we the viewers were in the Star Wars universe watching a tv show.
