Yes, believe it or not, there are bloopers in the original Star Wars trilogy, even surviving into the special editions. There are more than these, but sadly these are the only ones I remember, both from A New Hope.
1) When C-3PO and R2-D2 are in the control room on the Death Star and the stormtroopers enter the room, watch in the background carefully. You will see one of the stormtroopers, who apparently grew since passing Imperial height restrictions, hit his head on the door frame.
2) As Luke exits the X-Wing after destroying the Death Star, listen carefully as he replies to Leia shouting "Luke." He says not Leia, but "Carrie."

Hmmm, I heard about both of those. Interestingly enough, you see Jango Fett hit his head as he boards Slave I after fighting Obi-Wan.
And I read something about the second blooper where I think Carrie Fisher explained why they decided to leave it in, but I can't remember the reason.

That's very cool, I'll have to pop it in the VCR and watch it. I never knew of those before.

on the OT DVDs theres a hidden blooper reel on the special fetures disk.
You find it by going to the menu that looks like the inside of the Millenium Falcon. I think the menu name is games and preveiws or something like that.
Anyway, when you're at that menu, on the keypad of your remote type in 1138 and it should pop up. (If your remote has a buttion on it marked '10+' you will need to hit that first and then 138 so it looks like 10+138)

I love the fact that you can hear the stormtrooper hit his helmet. Barely notice him hitting, but the sound is unmistakable. My original copy on vcr is set to that scene. Whenever I watch it for laughs, I rewind it for my next viewing.

I found a website that shows a series of bloopers and special effects limitations in the first lightsaber duel. It's interesting, I'd noticed one of these, but not the others... www.thelightsaber.com/IndexFolder/index2.htm Click on "Saber Goofs" It's about halfway down the menu--isn't the Basic cool?
