So many system lords, so few poll options... Which Goa'uld system lord do you love to hate the most? Why?

I like Yu, too. He's pretty restrained for a Goa'uld. Many of them act like spoiled brats. He gets my vote.

"I like Yu, too." You missed the chance for an obvious joke response to that, Favorite15, but oh well. I chose Other. Mine is Baal. I don't know why. I mean, now he is the biggest and baddest System Lord still active, and really wants to get the Tau'ri. Plus he tortured O'Neill like crazy. ANd at one point during that, he ended a sentence with a proposition! Bastard! ;D

He ended a sentence with a PREPOSITION?? WHAT was he THINKING of? Have you seen season six's "Abyss" www.gateworld.net/sg1/s6/606.shtml? If so, you'll know what I'm talking about.

We're not to that episode yet but closing in on it. I think we're still getting through season 5 on DVD. (Realizing I've lost track ! When the DVDs just show up in the mailbox like magic, seasons start to blur). I was just being a smart alec ending my sentence with a preposition.

ANUBIS is a gas! He has no real power without his army. He can't ever punch someone.

I wonder if the "Gods" have a lottery... Anyways, Anubis can defend himself, the later episode (oblivion turn ur head) where Daniel tries to kill him, but Anubis reflects Daniel's attack.

Perhaps one of the shortest on-screen Goa'uld intro-ending to date...Marduk in the season 5 episode "The Tomb". He was a Goa'uld caricature, arrogant, supremely confident in his technology advantage (the shield), and absurdly easy to trick -- twice. Bye-bye Marduk. The episode itself (at least the first half of it) was a delicious change of pace. It was a Creature Feature, complete with some unknown but horrible monster that could clean a person's flesh from his bones like a piranha. I confess to screaming a couple times in this episode. Too bad it was defanged half-way through when the rubbery little nasty fell down off the ceiling onto Carter (EEK)...dead. Then the whole episode became a "who's the Goa'uld" farce, which was ridiculous because it was so obvious that the new host HAD to be the Russian major. The uneasy and unsuccessful alliance of the SG1 with four Russian soldiers in the episode was one of the few things that worked from beginning to end. It really was a shame they switched from Creature Feature to Goa'uld of the Week halfway through this episode. Although some of Season 5 (so far) has been GREAT, a few have been disappointing. This was one of the disappointing ones for me . But I look forward to future episodes where SG1 and some Russian counterparts have to find ways to work together!
