It's been a while since I watched the movie. I'll have to watch for the hand device next time.
The thing I thought was interesting in the movie was the "huge extended Ra family" that seemed to be plugged into his thoughts down to the youngest child, almost like an extension of him. The movie didn't play that up, just left it as a little tidbit to think about. It's a characteristic that's missing from the Goa'uld in the series.

However, in my mind, Col/General O'Neill will always be Richard Dean Anderson. Ditto

I'd like to watch the movie again and see how much more I "see" in the differences.
I still think that line "I'm on Planet X and I'm lookiing for a dweeb" is right up there with some of the best of RDA's zingers.

The Asgard Loki cloned O'Neill, lo and behold there was a kid who has over 40 years experience, who knows more than all the other kids of his age. No one would be able to bully him because of all the intensive commando training and he would be able to make more girl friends than all his buddies put together. He would be still be colonel and when he joins the airforce he would become be shot up in promotion and made colonel at less than half the age of his agiing original version. Is O'neill version 2 a property of the airforce or is he living breathing individual, who has the right to make his own decision about his future career?

That was an interesting story line, wasn't it?
My impression from the episode was that Young O'Neil had "living, breathing individual" status by the end. I kind of wondered if Young O'Neil WOULD enlist again, or if he'd explore some of the options he didn't try the first time.
I keep hoping that there will be an episode that brings Young O'Neil back. The series has a way of picking up loose threads in later seasons and giving them a good twist.
The final scene in that epi, where Young O'Neil checks his sunglasses in the patented manner and then saunters off to conquer the halls of high school, was priceless.

I am currently rewatching season 7, and came across Fragile Balance, the ep with young O'Niell...absolutely great! The mimicking of the idiosyncrasies was hillarious! Rates right up there with Window of Opportunity and the one with Michello (O'Niell and Teal'c switch bodies)

I agree. I'd LOVE to see an episode that revisits young O'Neil!

I'm sure they have Lil O'Niel on a long leash, that he does'nt know about. I bet he DOES know about the leash, knows exactly how long it is, and knows about 47,000 ways to slip it and go have fun with no onlookers :samangel:

I think he would use his knowledge to fill in the gaps left by Sara (I think was his wife's name) and find him a new girl and kids.
