I'm not a Stargate fan (haven't even seen it), but I've been told this gun, which is an Belgium-made FN-p90 is on this show, am I correct?

Kind of looks familiar, but I see bullets laying next to it, and they don't use bullets on SG-1. Even the humans have pulse rifle, phaser type weapons.

I don't know from what species it came from, but it looked similiar, and shot similiar to the weapons they use in Farscape that as Crichton puts is "Shoots green balls of light".

Is it the one where SG-1 stumbles upon a crashed ship and there are excaped prisoners trying to kill these aliens? Funny looking aliens too... Greenish...

I don't recall the particular episode, but will take your word on it. You're the TR resident Stargate buff, most of my knowledge resides in Star Trek.

We're partway through season 4. Getting caught up.
What a treasure trove to find on Netflix! An entire series of excellent SF that we've never seen before! We're enjoying the heck out of them...but trying to pace ourselves.
Haven't seen this episode yet, but will keep an eye out for "the gun" at the first hint of green aliens!

You're the TR resident Stargate buff Thank you, thank you... They may not exactly be "green". I do know that their temples (sides of heads, next to the ear) are colored.

Yes the P-90 is on Stargate and Atlantis I believe. If I remember correctly it came to the show in the later seasons...I want to say season 6, but don't quote me on that. And the teams do use bullets in the guns. If you watch the show enough, you will see them replacing bullet clips into the P90.
As for the pulse weapons or what ever you are talking about...LOL. I can only guess you are talking about the Zats. One shot stuns, two shots kills and third shot desintegrates. This weapon is a Goa'uld weapon and when it fires it has a blue look to it.

OH!!! You ppl thought they actually used blanks to film the show! Quite frankly no... The guns are actually wood, they look real, but their not. (I watched one of those shows that showed a sneak preview of the upcomming season and one of the member, I believe it was Teal'c, said they looked real, but their not... as for the sound and the light, I think they said the light was real or fake, not sure, but they just periodically reload...

All SG teams, including SG-1, use regular, bullet-firing guns, kinds that exist in real life. SG-1 has used other weapons, though. Teal'C always has his Staff Weapon, and sometimes a zat. Carter carries a zat, though mostly uses a regular gun. Daniel usually carries a real gun, and sometimes a zat. O'Neill always has his P90. ;D He never carries alien weaponary, though he has used zats, staff weapons, etc. from time tio time.

Have we ever seen Carter carry a staff weapon? Not that I can recall. She might have held one at some point, I just don't remember any such time.
