On the twelfth day of Christmas,
General Hammond gave to me,
Twelve Death Gliders Destroying,
Eleven FREDs Ferrying
Ten System Lords-a-Leaping,
Nine Kynthias Dancing,
Eight MALPS-a-Mapping,
Seven Chevrons Engaging
Six UVAs-a-flying,
Five Transport Rings,
Four Fenri Creatures,
Three Zat Guns
Two Staff Weapons
And a Stargate in Cheyenne Mountain!

Suz, you might like this website, Songs of the Chaapa’ai thewhyofme.netherweb.com/SoC.htmIt's a Stargate filk* song collection. *filk songs are songs written by fans of movies, tv series, novels, etc. that celebrate their adopted "homeworld". They are often performed (in much better tune than I sing!) at conventions, fanfests, etc. The song on the main page is cool, written to one of my favorite ballad tunes (Sounds of Silence).

I made a major tactical error today. I showed the lyrics to the Daniel Boat song to my oldest son this morning. He immediately searched for the guitar tabs to Banana Boat, and strummed on acoustic guitar and sang: Daniel, Daaan-iel Put that down and let’s go home Dan, me say Dan, me say Dan, me say Daniel... .... EVERY time Daniel Jackson was on-screen in during Stargate DVD hour tonight. We saw the Season 4 cliff-hanger finale tonight. It's great not to have to wait 4 months to see the conclusion. The next DVD should arrive from Netflix in a day or two depending on the post-christmas mail situation.
